Been a Civilization player since Civ 1. This is the first time I've been compelled to quit because it was not fun and rather just tedious. The fun of expanding and choosing a win condition based upon your civilization is no longer the game. The game is now check the boxes, and on rails.

The other issue is that the whole UI has been sterilized. Its a grey box with white text. There is not artistry behind it, no interest, no user feedback. It feels like your clicking buttons on a Point of Sale system, not playing a AAA game.
