Helldivers 2 offers infinite replay value and extremely satisfying co-op horde slaughter gameplay with a tactical objective-based focus. The game does not hold your hand, it is difficult, it throws you in with randoms or friends, and it expects you to figure out how to be strategic and skilled to win. The music is an absolute banger, and when you're Democracy Diving around and racking up a huge killstreak with heavy firepower and orbital airstrikes while avoiding attacks from a horde of monstrous aliens, it feels like a cinematic movie.

Despite there being almost ten warbonds that cost equivalent to $10 USD in premium currency (Super Credits), you can actually grind this currency out in game, plus each warbond refunds about 30% of its cost back in Super Credits once you've unlocked and progressed through it. In 75 hours I was able to already unlock two warbonds just by playing and I'm already halfway to the next one. This has never felt like a slog or slow grind because each individual mission is so immersive, engaging, and fun, and as you progress through your warbonds you constantly get new weapons, boosters, stratagems, or armor sets to try mixing into your playstyle.

The multiplayer netcode has generally been OK and I've been impressed that there is some anti-grief protection in that if you get kicked from a lobby by the host for any random reason, you'll get your own version of the operation seamlessly created and dropped into. There is definitely some annoying bugs though, in my opinion the worst one is that players will sometimes have no name tag and appear without limbs, this makes them impossible to see mixed into enemies and you can accidently kill them with airstrikes easily. Additionally, occasional desyncs that can be annoying. But honestly despite the annoyance of these issues they have not been too obstructive to the overall experience of Helldivers 2.

The best modern successor to Banished out there. Easy to get lost in as time flies thanks to the easily adjustable game speed and extreme amounts of micromanaging required to grow "optimally." Additionally you can adjust the settings to make it easier or harder. There are genuine challenges that catch you off guard, mostly with bandits but also other lords pressing claims after a while. It sucks if you get invested in a village and you don't prepare to defend yourself, but if you think ahead its not too difficult on the default settings. Recommend this game if you're interested in building up and nurturing a medieval city from scratch, and you don't mind the slow pace of indie updates.

Haters are just nostalgic for the golden age of late-stage WH2.
WH3 has had many flaws over the course of its release and updates but the product, especially when it comes to porting old content and pricing/timing of new updates, but with all DLC is one of the most massive and expansive grand strategy + real time strategy games to be enjoyed with a high polish.
Is it highly expensive? Yes. Buy the game and DLC on sale every time, and take the time to deliberate which DLC you'll actually feel like playing and get value out of.
If you enjoy grand strategy and high fantasy then the immersive campaigns of WH3 can literally suck days out of your life like a flash.
Also, the modding scene is great. Just pay a lot of attention to what has been updated to the current patch!
You also might need a pretty tough PC with a strong CPU/GPU combo to really enjoy this game. ALWAYS put this game on a fast SSD or you will suffer the wrath of year long load times!

Pretty fun for some good laughs with friends. Editor is fun and allows for some creative levels, but unfortunately allows far less freedom and unique elements than the main levels, and since the game is a self-admitted side project we dont know when they'll add more. Overall, pretty solid fun experience though.

One of my favorite games of all time. Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, infinite replayability, and an interesting albeit vague lore. Would absolutely recommend.

TF2 has aged and honestly is no longer very fun or relevant today, especially with valve's inconsistent updates that often hurt more than help.
