Incredibly fun party game where one (or more) players play a worm trying to eat all the townsfolk (Pardners), before they can finish three tasks: Blowing up train cars blocking the rail, fueling the train, and find the train key that's randomly placed in the map.
The worm can only sense players when either they're running around in the sand (think Tremors), or when they use a scream ability that only shows pardners near the worm, even if they're off ground. The worm also gets two other ability slots that they can choose from a variety of powers like the ability to place traps, calling a sandstorm to blow pardners around. The three powers all have a cool down to them, that shorten once the sun goes down.
When the worm attacks a player, a QTE occurs where they have to press certain buttons to escape before they're gobbled up. If a pardner escapes, the worm is force to dive until they can 'heal' in order to resurface (the worm doesn't actually have health, you can't kill a worm this size)
Meanwhile, the pardners can find various tools to help them finish their tasks. A gun that, if connects, forces the worm to go underground until it fully 'heals'. A snake oil that increases max health. Also, the dynamite that you use to blow up the train cars blocking your path can be consumed by the worm, again, forcing them to retreat for a while.
The best part is that only one player needs to buy the full game, the rest can play off a free 'friend pass' version.
