After 1,200 hours, I think I can finally give a decent breakdown of what happen at each phase of the game.

1. 0-10 hours: Complete confusion, things like: Where do I go? Why does this this do so little damage? Arrrggghh the alarm triggered again?! Why is everyone keep rushing towards me?

2. 11-50 hours: Good grasp of the tip of the iceberg of the game. Began of think of quitting, and most possibly quit due to thinking how shallow and limited this game is.

3. 51-60 hours: Started understanding how to unlock planets, how to get resources, still no idea how to earn platinum.

4. 61-100 hours: Finally scratching the interesting part of the game, trading, modding, oneshotting everything, redcritting, always critting, hit 1 mil++ damage.

5. 101-300 hours: Addicted.

6. 301-600 hours: Ran out of addicting stuff, but still its kinda fun?

7. 601-800 hours: Time to collect everything and set my hardcore milestones!

8. 1000-1200 hours: Idk what to do anymore, guess I'll just hop back later?

What Team Fortress did in the past years are pretty...lacklustre. There aren't many new content for true F2P players that refuse to get those operation passes. There are various balancing on the weapons that lead to a more fair gameplay. Well, don't expect Team Fortress 2 to have the same heat as it has in the past years. The inflating market shifted some traders to other games, the player base is also getting divided due to the introduction of the other good games. Server's are pretty empty here, mercenary. You might be late for the party, but you are still welcomed here ( coming from someone who played Team Fortress 2 so little, its pretty underwhelming. )

A very well polished game with nice physics ( without PhysX ), range of classes and tons of achievements and weapons. This is has a wide variant of maps ( as well as custom ones ) to keep you occupied. Besides that, each class posses very special stats and weapons.

An example is the spy which deals devastating attacks through backstab but can be killed within a few seconds by a pyro. While he can use Spy-cicle to melt the fire and use Dead ringer to fake death.

Another example is the sniper, authough he is called sniper, he can use a bow called Huntsman which deals smaller damage but has lots of advantage. He can also use the Razorback to dodge and stuns enemy spies who try to backstab him for once ( till you go back to base and you will have a new one ).

The medic also possess a unique ability which gives a few seconds of ubercharge to make your allies invincible to damage ( but not knockback by compression blasts ) after charging ubercharge to 100% ( or 20% for vaccinator ) . While using other Medi-guns other than the stock will give different types of ubercharge.

Team Fortress 2 runs on a nicely built Source Engine with Heavily-Modified Havok Physics which is not-so-heavy on GPU, so even my Intel GMA X3100 can run it with configs and settings at a playable 20 FPS with little to no stuttering.

So give this game a try and you will find it to be nice. :)
