For some reason they decided to release Battleborn right around the time Blizzard released Overwatch, not a great idea. Even though the games aren't exactly the same, this has a few moba like elements, Overwatch still got way more attention.

I own both games and I like both of them, for the amount of money I paid for Battleborn I think it was extremely worth it. The gameplay is fun, the characters are pretty interesting, and I enjoy the story mode.

Now, unfortunately I think I started playing too late after everyone moved on to other games. Playing the story mode solo or doing versus with the bots is fun, but since at any given time there is only a few hundred people playing this game don't expect the match making system to work. If you can pick it up for less than $10-15 your money won't be wasted, but just don't expect a thriving community for this game.

Tons of fun. I thought I had matured past being entertained by bigass guns and gory demon kills as I once was in my youth, I was wrong.

The combat is a bit different from the previous Max Payne games, but once you get used to it the game becomes pretty fun. The cutscenes and music are top notch, and watching Max getting constantly shot/blown up and healing with the power of painkillers and whiskey is great.

Even though the campaign is fairly short (around 4-5 hours), and the fast paced action makes that seem even quicker, The Darkness II is a solid shooter with plenty of play style options. You can focus mainly on weapons, abilities, or a combination of the two. Once you get used to shooting out all the lights so your darkness abilities can be used and get accustomed to all of the tools at your disposal you can truly become an evil killing machine. Also the darkling is amazing to have by your side.
