Even if they didn't go for the full body awareness experience we would have think would be the reference in VR (look at Blade & Sorcery and more recently Boneworks), they managed to create the best VR experience I have played so far.
The storytelling, the characters and being within half life universe after 13 years.... Alyx is the perfect character for VR as she has the gadgets needed for a smooth experience without being frustrated to go grab the ammos/items by hand everytime.
Even if some people think the gameplay and AI actions are slower when you watch videos online(compared to older fps games), when you play in the headset, you do not notice it because of the immersion and you also have slower reaction time.
I played in smooth locomotion/smooth turn and I just wish a setting for the "walking speed" would be a great addition as I have no motion sickness at all.

They managed to light my interest for half life again and I can't wait for next half life game (in VR or not).

As good as the first one. Probably better. The city and the environment are really detailled. The darky style used is still one of the strong point of the game. The story is really good and I really enjoyed playing mutiple characters. Buy it!

Awesome game! The fact that it's free to play now attracts more people and it's still fun to play after 4 years with so many new feature such as trading and crafting items.
The game still have a lot of update which add a lot of new content.

This is one of the best game I played for a while, it's dark, really well done and with a bunch of cool ennemies, I recommend it!
