FOR UUUUUUUUU!
Across the wide and wounded sea,
They came in chains, their stories dimmed,
Silent cries of agony.
A people ripped from sacred lands,
Whose roots were deep, whose hearts were free,
Now bound by cruel and greedy hands,
And lost in endless misery.
The whip cracks loud, the night is long,
The ocean hums a mournful song,
Of those who dreamed but never knew
The dawn would break for just a few.
Their spirits sank, yet some would rise,
With fire burning in their eyes—
A fight for life, a fight for light,
Against the shadows of the night.
The past may linger in the dust,
But in their memory we trust,
To honor those who bore the pain,
And seek to break the final chain.
