This game has sat forever in my collection but it's only just recently that I decided to give it a try - and I'm glad that I did (especially now that the game is officially out of early access!) If you're one of those people with a bit of a perfectionist's streak in you, you're going to spend thousands of hours tearing your hair out playing this game. I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the one and only expansion that the developers have promised that they're busy working on as we speak - but not because the game in it's current format is lacking in any way at all.

In addition to potentially thousands of hours worth of vanilla game content, the game has fostered a thriving community of modders who have released all manner of INCREDIBLE addons and mods for it as well. If you're any kind of engineering type, you're going to get a great deal of value and enjoyment from Factorio regardless of whether you pick it up during a Steam sale or not.

Yes, it's buggy - but it is in Alpha. This is one to watch I think.

As of this writing, I'd say this is NOT the game for you if you want something to play - there's enough ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the discussion boards. However, if you're interested in watching a game develop - and maybe have some input into its direction - jump in. I'd like to see this one go all the way.
