Good game, playing with randoms are hit or miss, especially without a voice chat.
Based on some of the reviews I've read i can confidently say that fromsoft has created a stage for the greatest boss the soulslike community has yet to face - Teamwork.
Teamwork greatly increases the odds of beating the night. If you can get a group going, it becomes easier the more you talk and play together.
It has it's issues of course, like sometimes hits not registering when reviving players, lock on randomly switching to a different enemy in sight or random crashes for me personally, but all in all, its a pretty good game and hope to see it get better.

The game, although a bit obtuse-feeling in the beginning, is an enjoyable experience. Although it's no Dark Souls or Counter-Strike, it does not lack fun. It's fun in the way of a light, enjoyable romp in space, for lack of a better term.

It's the type of game which, to me at least, is fun to see the uniqueness that arises in the averages of its experiences and gameplay. It really feels like it's trying to evoke the "Although there are many like it, this is unique, and it’s special to me" type of experience. Kind of like Minecraft but in space.

You can read the rest of the reviews for technical details; they're mostly correct. My only contribution is to relay an experience that made me write this review. The more I played, the more I wanted an inventory system management/sorting mechanism à la "sort by weight/price/name," and it came in the newest update, for which I'm very happy and thankful.

Although you could say that's pretty late, just looking at how much they overhauled the game, that example is the sort of feeling the game evokes of the care that is still put in. I don't know how sustainable their development model is, but it really does feel like this game/studio is an anomaly (aha) in the gaming space as a whole.

All I can say is if you've got some spare cash and some time, this game is well worth it.

TL;DR
Interesting game with unique setting and scenarios. Bit rough around the edges here and there, but full of care and passion. Hope to see how the creators will update/expand upon what’s released.

Honestly I’m not sure how to explain it without spoiling it at all. The game truly feels like a passion project, and has scenarios and dialogues that feel both fresh but also kinda untapped.
At some points it feels like the game or characters want to dive deeper in to something further but don’t. Maybe it’s me, but depending on how you look at it, the ending felt like it was finished unresolved. Maybe there’s not much more to consider and I’m overthinking it. Around the midpoint of the game there are moments that the game does seem to beckon you to follow along, but ends up not going very far. I’m not saying I dislike it, on the contrary, I think it’s interesting and with thought put in to it, but I feel like I’m missing something.
The likely answer is that due to it being, from what I understand, indie dev’s on a shoestring budget, they couldn’t exactly do/show everything they had in mind. So I can’t exactly blame them in the depth department.
All in all, cute game.
The chibis are very cute and and the game was a pretty fun and interesting experience. Would suggest going in blind, it’s the best way to experience it. If there are changes with either updates or my thoughts I’ll update the review.

Great game, almost a gold standard for a AAA game release.

One major issue is the easy anti cheat, with it my fps constantly fluctuates and has micro stutters. The worst part that forced me to disable EAC and mostly play offline was the fight against the honest fellow who was a brute. Every time I looked at the light source in the arena my frames dropped dramatically to what felt like 10 fps. After disabling it, near solid 60 fps.

With that out of the way, although tough, it is a fair game with a cool art style, plenty of customisation and a nice, thoughtful, and not too long story. A definite 8 out of 10.
The intrusive anti cheat that kills frames really sucks that it forces a decision between stability or multiplayer, but since the singleplayer and personal approach is the main draw, I think its definitely worth the asking price.

Edit: it seems that after recent updates the fps issue has been more or less resolved. Just like the launch the devs keep showing a masterclass in their work and how much effort they put in. Truly a 10/10 dev and game.

Harder, better, faster and definitely stronger than the the previous entry. Even though i cant completely agree with the third person cinematics and a few cringe worthy lines. I give it a 99% in single player, it does what it wants and it does it well. Multiplayer really isn't for me though.
The bethesda account connection blows though, especially with the way it JUST WORKS sometimes
