Where the original Dead Rising captures the essence of the horror and mystery a zombie apocalypse in such a fantastic way, Dead Rising 2 captures the comedy and how the world capitalized on the outbreak in an also fantastic way, while preserving the premise and heart of the original, and the same can go for it's spin-off, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record as well.

While I couldn't tell you which games are better than the other, I can definitely tell you this game's a must-play.

If you LOVE history and realistic portrayals of it, this is the game for you.

This game is an excellent portrayal of the savagery, and merciless brutality of the second world war. The grittiness of the atmosphere, the 'show-don't-tell' style of storytelling, and the CONTROL the game gives you over whose lives you take away, and whose past and futures are burned away in time forever whether you kill them, or your friends do; it all comes together to create the (what I believe to be) most raw and unforgiving WW2 game to exist.
When you kill someone in this game, it doesn't feel like you're just killing a generic game npc. It feels like you're taking everything that someone could have been away, forever. Stories and lessons learned throughout life to tell their children, friends, or family are eradicated from history forever.

If you played the original Mirror's Edge, I'm not so sure if you'd want to play this. If you want something similar to ME, you probably don't want this game.
If you're NEW to Mirror's Edge though and haven't played the first one, I recommend you play that before this; this game's more of a reboot.

This game is was one of the most influential there was in the 2010's for a reason. If you have $10 to spare, spend it on this. It's an AMAZING play.

To be honest, these aren't the BEST ports but they're nice ways to experience these old gems on new hardware.
