it is quite fun, the presentation is great and the game loop is satisfying and grabbing. it does feel like there's a lot of unexplained rules however - everything is consistent in behaviour, so after some time you learn, but it feels a bit backwards for a logic game to have trial and error discovery. for example, how different villagers lie isn't consistent amongst roles, and how certain cards interact is not clear a lot of the time. there's also a couple things that are just worded very poorly, like the baker's ability. speaking of the baker, shes not very fun - she seems to exist only to take away information, and having rounds where theres 3-5 of them because of rng sucks. dreamer is similarly disappointing although not as impactful; despite having an active ability, the only useful information she can ever give is whether she herself is lying, and only after you have already confirmed an evil. lilis is a cool, fun card, but i wish it was less common since it can often completely take over your round. the markers and ability to draw are really good, but the fact that theres no eraser and only an undo is a bit baffling - it means you can only undo notes in a linear way, when logic games where you are exploring multiple lines of thought and possibility.

tldr the core content is strong, but it needs more qol (and content, but this is just a demo so i can hardly complain about that)

does not respect your time, extremely loose and vague story that leaves little to bite into. nice atmosphere sometimes.

friggin awesome mechanics, tons of good ideas executed well. really refreshing to see a 3d platformer that actually expects the player to be good at the video game. writing is cute and charming but nothing life changing, was more linear than i was expecting, and the worlds were a little hard to ground myself in since its very dreamlike and doesnt necessarily feel like a real place that follows a lot of logic but its still very much navigable. really good overall!!!

really really charming and fun!! clearly a lot of time was put into the visual polish. wish there was settings to adjust... anything, but mostly individual sliders for music, voices, sfx. and to disable mouse acceleration. also, in the kindest way possible... the gameplay feels not great. there's cool ideas at play but they're lacking some polish and they don't get taken very far (which is better than overusing them still) and overall it maybe feels like the developer isn't very experienced with platformers and that's limiting what they're able to make. really wanna see more games from this dev tho!!!!!

its like cruelty squad but without any of the subtlety or good game design or intentionality!!!!!!!!


cool environments visually but really just is not that fun to control or explore. messaging really is as simple as "you destroy the environment to buy a bigger house".

cute and fun environment that feels lovingly made but ohmygosh this game does NOT feel good to control. lots of spots to get softlocked in too.

hate to be so harsh since its obvious that the dev has a vision and is just young and inexperienced, but that doesnt make the game a fun time, even for free.

others note the bad platforming; it IS bad, but not because of the core movement (which is different than one may be used to but not inherently bad). collision is really inconsistently drawn, and your jumps get eaten if you're standing too close to any vertical surface. there's also a LOT of waiting for moving platforms. moving platforms also aren't synced with each other, causing even more waiting.

puzzles have cool ideas but don't really go far enough to require actual thought.

environments on a large scale are cool but room-by-room just feel cobbled together to fit whatever the puzzle needs it to be with some random props on top for good measure. sometimes those props obscure your vision in a way that makes you have to look at the main puzzle element in your peripherals, which isn't a HUGE deal, but does show that there wasn't much thought and/or tweaking. combined with the weird collision, i'd assume there was little to no outside playtesting.

i feel similarly about the artstyle, it looks great on a broad scale but the brightness/bloom/reflections can make it unnecessarily hard to see at times, and the readability of rooms could be improved upon.

The writing seems poorly paced, but grain of salt since i didnt get very deep.

not offensive overall, maybe some enjoyment to be had by certain people?
