awesome game all around

awful performance on my gtx 786 thanks to no sli, but it's these series are the best game in the world so there is that.

I don't mind 30fps in some games but action shooters fast like this really shouldn't have such a huge input delay or having the map scroll by jumping a centimiter a time. I couldn't play more than a couple of seconds really, this is not acceptable. And I didn't even feel like talking about the no-widescreen bull.

This game is, above all, a worthy successor to the first game. Everything about the old game is back and there are a couple of new elements that fit the old gameplay completely.

Perfect party game. Too bad the multiplayer obscures how the match making works. I don't get why every game comes out this way nowadays, it would be worlds better to have a list of servers with pings and so on.

It's one of the few games with a dynamic world and the best realized I played so far (the only other one I played being X3). The game allow you to do whatever you like in a medieval open world, you may be a merchant buying low and selling high, a hero of the people doing good deeds for almost no reward, But you can instead decide to loot defenseless vilages instead. All of this while amassing a army to aquire and defend castles and villages for yourself or for a kind of your choice.
This game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ perfect.

It's a great game but really hard to get a hold of. You'll spend hours and days to grasp the basic mechanics. It's something you can do while playing more or less but it's still overwhelming at first.
It features a dynamic world where most things are procedurally generated and you are free to do whatever you want, be it fighting pirates or xenons, or maybe even fighting one of the factions or even just be a peaceful merchant and build your commercial empire. You can also live a pirate life if you will, befriend one of the factions for support and attack another one to steal their cargo and ships.
Dogfighting is also really good in this game but you'll have to know what ship to use in what situation. Sadly the game have a lot of problems that don't allow for big multiple ship combats (you can have as many ships under your command as you want it) but some mods fix most of them and you will be able to battle using as many ships as you like.
The list of mods that I recommend to "fix" these problems is:
- The "official" mods on egosoft site - I'm not sure if they are already integrated in the game so check it
- litcube's bounce
- ADS
- Docking Lockup Fix + Upgrade
Besides that it is a huge game that will make hundreds of hours of your life just vanish if you let it.

Awesome game. Fast paced action that resembles Devil May Cry, Darksiders or God of War but with a gameplay that is deeper and more challenging than most of these kind of games.
Lots of cutscenes but the writing is similar to B action movies and it's really good at it.

Recomended for people that like the idea of having diablo mechanics in a FPS. They have lots of paid DLC that don't add much and online shop for skins and whatever inside the game so be warned if that bothers you.
