TL:DR Good game, not a great simulator.

Not a bad Idea just very not a traffic optimization simulation game. The AI doesn't act like you'd expect real drivers to act and the way the grid works makes simple road infrastructure kind of break down. Not a bad puzzle game but not a traffic simulation game. Maybe if it had more advanced ways to direct traffic but I feel like that kinda goes against the feel and simple theme of the game. Again Not a bad game but don't get it looking for a traffic simulator. I wish steam had more nuance besides Yes or No because it is a well made and polished game, just not my cup of tea.

A very meditative game with a nice calm pace. The shunting puzzles come naturally from how you run your own railroad and while it has a bit of a steeper challenge when playing solo it also has moments of tranquility of waiting for an express passenger train to make its trek across the map.

As it stands it could almost be a complete game with a few minor model improvements, but seeing as the developer is making great strides in their work I would absolutely recommend Railroader as it is now and I hope to see the coming improvements.

Its not bad but is an early access with promise and its fair share of bugs. With some work I think this can really become something.
