The story where you fight a religious cult was a very interesting concept. I enjoyed the varied missions and the captivating adaptation of Montana. I enjoyed the campaign story, but I felt like I had to suspend disbelief at many parts with the "Bliss" oil, mind control, and the fact that none of the cult leaders ever thought to kill me when I was captured.

I'm conflicted about the ending. I understand that the lesson of doing everything and still failing makes for an impactful ending, but I just felt disappointed that everything I did was for nothing. Yet the ending was so engaging. I felt confused and at disbelief while everyone was panicking as the ending unfolded.

But despite it's flaws, I still recommend the game. Far Cry 5 is the first Far Cry franchise game I played, and it definitely won't be my last.
