if you like scary, mega-strange survival/crafting/base-building games in a beautifully crafted world, this be your game. There's SO much to do and discover already and the game play loop is just excellent imo. managing your bodily fluids and enemies you take on (or don't) while scavenging for supplies to save you and the world is a nicely balanced constant struggle. I'm 27 hrs in and still haven't really scratched the surface. I do play slow and "careful" and only have one save that I keep overwriting just to keep it tense. and holy crap, the game IS tense .. and creepy. when a giant grasshopper suddenly grabs onto your face or 3 blabbering goons come sprinting up to you or a post-human being starts shooting at you close range, its a visceral, goose bump inducing experience. the atmosphere is oppressive in a good way (think David Lynch). completely immersive af. I don't know ... its my fav game in YEARS. subjective as that is to say ofc, I'm a picky mf and this hits all the good spots .. bravo EnDrew
