Against the Storm holds an incredibly special place in my heart, it somehow managed to become a comfort game of mine, one that whenever I think about the first times I played it I feel a sweet nostalgic feeling (even though I played I got it back in 2023) that rivals a feeling that I get from games of my childhood, like Halo or Dawn of War. I honestly don't know how they managed to do it, I really believe it's one of the most well made games ever. Incredibly fun, challenging enough or chill depending on the difficulty you choose, very well balanced and so many more. It is the true embodiment of a roguelike game, no run will be the same. And that in a survival city builder? Just wow. The setting and lore of the game also, even though not super deep, is incredibly appealing. For me, it truly is a one in a genre gem game that anyone remotely interested in it should play.

Dredge is absolutely my favourite indie game of all time and I'll play anything with it's name on it. With that being said, I did find this DLC to be rather lackluster. I'm sure it's much better if you play it on a new game and not an old save but it still leaves some stuff to be desired. On the positive side the music is great as always and the new fish and mechanics are very fun and interesting. However, it's really a bummer for me that it does not feature a new location and only utilises the pre-existing ones. the biggest let down by far is the ending. After handing in the final quest I was literally confused for a minute as to whether I've missed something because ''there's no way it ends so abruptly'' All in all, a slightly disapponting DLC for an absolutely flawless game.
