Base game 2077 is a solid action RPG. Phantom Liberty is genuine sci-fi literature. The shift in tone is massive, closer to Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence than a typical shooter. Song So Mi is the best written character CDPR has produced, period. Her existence questions the line between humanity and weaponized code better than almost anything in the medium. Giving the body to Johnny after a Solo run felt like the only logical conclusion, but PL is where the real questions are asked. Masterpiece work.

My entire purpose in this game boiled down to one thing: making sure my girl could finally rest. 10/10, would get my heart ripped out for her again.
