I will follow up with a more thorough review when I finish the game, but after playing through the prologue or first full section of the story mode, it really is a true sequel and much better than the first one. At first, I was a little annoyed that some of the features in the first one, like the graphics modes and different modes weren't included but then I realized the story mode in this one is actually much more complete. It really surprised me.

It's actually much better than I thought its almost like a simon says of brawler/vs. fighting games. To get a really high score you'd think you could kinda cheat but just staying clear of danger with your misses by even with that you would have to memorize the direction you would need to miss on what enemy, so your better of just remembering the combination of button presses/directions you need to defeat each enemy, and even with that, you need to get the timing down. After five to ten mins my best score was about 12k, when I tried to cheat the system and button mash, my best score was around 7k. I'm sure they'll do a dollar sale soon, but I wanted to support the creator of Kung Fury, I really hope he gets a studio to back him or already has.

If you played through the flash original game, this is more of a remake/upgrade than a sequel. It has the same main story and gameplay but it has been much more fleshed out for a game experience. I wish they would have made a simple multiplayer co-op mode, kinda like Dead Rising, where anyone can just drop into your game.

If you enjoyed the flash game like I did and wanted it to be a complete game you will be satisfied. If you wanted them to take what they did and make a whole new game, sorry, not this time, but hopefully this game is popular enough that they do.

Even though I was a little surprised that this was just a remake, I am happy with my purchase, especially since it is on sale, because this really should be $10 normal price. So hurry up and buy it while its on sale.

I really like the open world and open ended feel of the game. I'm pretty sure you can get into a few dead end situations like the flash game, but maybe they reworked the game so you get a bad ending of sorts when you do something like that. I kinda wish it notified you that you were removing or canceling missions by your actions but I guess they don't want to reward you for just killing everyone.

I'll do a follow up review when I complete the game but since I've already completed the original flash game and I still enjoy this version, I'm sure I'll enjoy this full featured version.

It's the great classic just as I remember, they did go back and remove a couple timer bugs and point bugs, I did the Panama route which had a few bugs at least and I was able to get 255 out of 255, on the original game, I always had an issue with that. I really wish the remake they were working on was a hand drawn remake instead of a 3d one, hopefully one day I'll be able to release my personal remake.

Best adventure game GUI I have ever seen, really innovates what Sierra and Lucasfilm games were trying to do back in the day. As far as I'm concerned, GUI's in adventure games go, Hero's Quest 1, probably the best text parser, you could put ask about the big tree under the hill, and then the Quest for Glory 2 Vga remake that was recently made by AGD or formerly Tierra Entertainment, they had an awesome combination of KQ5 icons with a text parser when you talk to people. And this GUI with its long term and short term interfaces, is seriously the best GUI I have ever seen. I thought icons ruined adventure games because you could just click everywhere and every item on each other and everywhere on the screen to figure out puzzles, instead of logically deducing them. This GUI brings back the fun of the text parser, with the simplicity of icons, so awesome. And then on top of all that, the story and actual game is AWESOME! I don't want to give away anything, but play the demo and you will be hooked!

Awesome game! I can't wait until the single player comes out, I backed it on kickstarter and telling from the multi player, it is and will be such an awesome game. Reminds me of Battle Chess and Betrayal at Krondor but a million times better with old school disney like hand drawn rotoscoping animation.
