I knew little about this game before asking a friend to buy it for me. Just heard about it a few months before launch, so I wasn't expecting my lesbian boss rush game to have a healthy dose of commentary on Christianity and being a queer Christian in it. Spoke to me.

The gameplay is pretty unique. Never played a game like it before. I couldn't quite get the hang of it, though, and my disabilities would have prevented me from ever being good at blocking. It's a good thing the accessibility options were there. Thank you for those!

Easy recommend for people who like a romance game with flawed protags, a boss rush style game with unusual gameplay, and those who want to see deeper themes in games.

I am writing this review for people who are familiar with this series. For those who are not, I will give a quick summary: Play Alien Shooter Revisited or Zombie Shooter instead. Much better games.

One of the two latest entries into the Alien Shooter franchise, this game is based off of the engine for the first game.

Graphics are about the same as the first Alien Shooter 1 based games due to massive asset reusage. This is not a problem in and of itself, but something to note regardless.

Music wise, it's the same tracks that get reused throughout all of the Alien Shooter games, and frankly, I'm tired of them. *Please*, get new music. Or remix the tracks. Something, anything.

What's new, you ask? Well, a new turret mechanic has been added. You can hold up to six turrets, depending on your Strength stat, and lay them down at any time. Well, it's supposed to be at any time. I've found the key sometimes just doesn't work. The turrets are usually helpful, but for the first two levels they're not great. They upgrade automatically as you go along in the game. No need to find upgrades or purchase them.

So, why am I giving this a bad review? It's simple. the difficulty balance is off. On Normal, I couldn't beat the game. A first for a series veteran like myself. So, I tried Easy. Still couldn't do it. Then, I tried Casual and I was finally able to beat it. The last two levels are just too damned punishing. Somehow, they finally made a game with too many enemies. You just don't have the firepower to keep up! The turrets also don't do enough damage later on if you're on higher difficulties than Casual.

The levels are also bad. They're just kinda boring now, little mazes with seemingly no rhyme or reason to them. Very small, too.

Combine all of that with much worse level design and the music overuse being so severe that it has become grating on the ears, well... Just buy Alien Shooter Revisited or Zombie Shooter if you don't got 'em. They made a free game long ago with the same engine, Theseus: Return of the Hero. That one's pretty decent too. If you've already played those, upgrade to Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded or Zombie Shooter 2 or Alien Shooter 2: The Legend.

This is definitely the worst game they've put out. I'm sad. Actually sad. I was hoping this game'd be decent. :( I don't have high expectations for these games. I know what they are. They're solid but nothing super special. But most of 'em still got a place in my heart for being so single focused on a goal: killing as many monsters/zombies as possible. And this game just prevents you from doing that eventually. It's sad.

A simple, fun little game. Can be a bit tough, but exploring will even out the difficulty with time. I recommend it. Just don't go into it thinking this will be a masterpiece. Instead, think of it as a fun game that does what it can with what it had. If you engage with it on that level, you're sure to have a good time.

An amazing soundtrack and an interesting story. can't wait to play more of it.

This game's pretty fun. A casual rogue-like with an unusual art style and a possession mechanic. As you continue to use the possessed monsters, you level up that form and can take its traits when not in it.

The music's decent, and the game's non-serious atmosphere is welcome given many rogue-likes are kinda grim. Give it a try.

Online co-op doesn't work worth a damn. Avoid.

Nice graphics(Though turn down the intensity, it'll make you dizzy otherwise), cool gameplay, nice integration with your music, and a good upgrade system. As hard or as easy as you want it to be, too. All in all, hard to not recommend it.

This game is challenging, fun as hell to play, and gives you tons of options to kill clones with. GET IT!

This game is VERY funny(Though, mostly if you know the characters already), and the poker is fun. It even allows you to earn TF2 items. For five bucks, it's hard to go wrong.
