Screenshots and video will never fully convey how cool and trippy of an experience Endlight is. As soon as I fired it up on my Steamdeck with headphones I was in another world. Wow.

This is a fantastic video game. The game mechanic borrows from Max Payne, but the setting characters story are all it's own thing entirely that sucks you in quickly. I was already hook line and sinker into the game, but when the hip hop kicks in, whoa baby. Playing on my living room TV via Steamdeck, just a great, very polished experience all around,

Gorgeous pixel art animation. Everything fits together beautifully. Takes inspiration from Another World, but this still feels like its own thing. I am very very much enjoying the opportunity to finally play this game after following its development for years.

Having a ton of fun with this game. Very polished game. Loving the roguelike spell building system, very quick and simple to play, but the randomization keeps things interesting by giving you more choices about how you want to upgrade your attacks.

I've been mostly sticking the the Survival game mode for the quicker arcadey gameplay.

Have been playing this on my Steamdeck, which it is perfectly suited to.

I have been waiting for this game for months and I am overwhelmingly happy just one mission in. I'm playing with an Xbox One controller and it's fantastic. It is the classic Ace Combat gameplay but silky smooth and quick to play. The aircraft and world are gorgeous and all the subtle mechanical animations. The framerate is a solid 60fps at 1080. And I absolutlely am in love the cutscenes.

And my 9 year old son has been staring and drooling over my shoulder begging to play. Wait your turn, son. Daddy is flying.

This is a hands on experience. As in, hands on the cyclic, collective, pedals or you're about to spin out of control and form an aluminum filled crater.

I'm literally holding on to my flightstick for dear life, just practicing zooming around the airfield, trying to hover, trying to land. And I haven't had this much fun in a flight sim since Chuck Yeager said "it's a great day for flying" in the early 90's.

I now have an overwhelming urge to re-read Chickenhawk and find out how much it costs to earn a helicopter pilot license. Luckily this Huey DLC is much cheaper by a few orders of magnitude and has more than one life.
