great coaster builder.

took me 10-15 hours to start to get the hang of it, but once you get it, you get it. admittedly do already have a fundamental understanding of rollercoasters and things like that, but nothing more than 200 hours planet coaster.

if you want rollercoasters with incredible realism and are willing to dedicate time, use this. you don't get test runs though, however you can just quickly connect it up with straight track then freeze it temporarily, although that is a faf.

Yeah, it's alright I guess. Distant scenery does sorta let it down but the route is fun to drive and quite hands on so you don't notice it as such. The rolling stock does sound like you're pulling a load of shopping trolleys, and the whistle's buggy, sometimes not sounding, not to mention the volume is constant no matter how far you are from it. The vacuum brake also hisses constantly when applied as if the air pressure's changing when it's actually constant.

I do still have a lot of fun driving this route, however, as it is completely unique to anything else in TSW so I do still recommend the route as the close scenery is good, the train is fun to drive and looks incredible and you can't find anything like it on TSW. Have gotta say the screenshots on this steam page are incredibly cherry picked.

If you're wondering whether this route is worth it, I recommend watching a stream of it to see what you're actually getting, not what the devs want you to think you're getting.

DO NOT BUY THIS DLC IF YOU ARE GETTING TSW3.
With TSW3, the 465 will be included with the upgraded SEHS. You will get SEHS upgrade for free if you already own SEHS and buy TSW3 in any bundle form (eg. buying the german route when they go for sale individually)

That being said, awesome train, awesome sounds. One of the best loco DLCs out there, but it's essentially just throwing 12 pounds down the drain at this point.

Yes, the scenarios are lackluster, but that's common with all TSW2 routes.
Yes, the DLC was in a pitiful state when it was released and why rivet decided that it was in any way shape or form suitable for release remains a mystery.

Having said that, they have fixed the route's outlying bugs, and I personally find it as a good route. Yes it's short, but it looks good (apart from the cling film water) and given TSW track record, i doubt that anything more will change with this route. We may get an extension for the heritage railway upon the release of steam, but it seems unlikely to me.

The class 483 is an incredible train, well detailed and apart from the motor sounds, it's really impressive. Great for putting liveries on and drives quite well (When the reverser isn't in forward 2). Also, given it's ex-tube stock, driving it is basically just pressing 1 of a few buttons on your keyboard.

Get this route if you want an ex-tube stock and don't mind the shorter route and lack of interesting scenarios.

Probably my favourite TSW route, full stop.

Don't know what it is, but the lighting seems different in this DLC, and it's probably my favourite part of this route, not to mention the longer route, more fun driving style of the TGV duplex than any other train in the game in my opinion.

If you want a TSW2 route that includes high speed, modern technology, definitely the route for you, especially if you enjoy high speed routes.
