Used to love this game as a kid. Upon coming back to it over a decade later, it doesn't hit the same. The connection is embarrassingly bad, to the point of not being able to trust anything you see on your screen. You can maneuver around hazards and dodge enemies but still take damage from them. Most of that damage occurs seconds later once the connection finally catches from hiccup after hiccup after hiccup. Besides that major design flaw, the game is alright but has missed potential overall. The art and atmosphere is quite strong, and the weapon design is interesting, but as with most Three Rings games, it tends to fall flat in actual execution. It falls into the trap of most MMOs of gameplay being either simple chore-esque tasks or grinding the same simple fights over and over, grinding so you can unlock the next grind. Its a shame because the gun play is almost deep enough to be interesting, but each weapon is a little too simple, and crafting new weapons plus maintaining the loadout slots to equip multiple weapons requires either more grinding or spending real money on premium currency. Its a game with a lot of potential that seems like it can never quite achieve it, and I would sadly not recommend it very highly for anything beyond curiosity.

A decently fun way to kill time, but its design is still stuck in the past. If its monetization were more modernized and the puzzles a bit deeper, I could see this game catching on. If the fairly repetitive gameplay of the puzzles was expanded on and player counts rose, I could see this being a fun, relevant game even in 2025, but as it is now, its a novelty to see what an old mmo looked like and then move on with your day

ps - if the devs are reading this, publish the exact scoring rules and mechanics for each puzzle. theres no intuitive way to grasp the effects of an artifical set of actions designed by humans, that is to say, anyone could reasonably justify any action in the puzzle being worth any amount. a puzzle without clearly defined rules is not a good puzzle, and a puzzle that is unengaging with clearly defined rules is a poorly designed puzzle. if youre confident that the puzzles are well designed and engaging, theres no excuse not to tell players what the rules of the puzzles are

The core game is fun, but I can't support it after having previously paid for the game and having had access to the majority of the game revoked after Ubisoft restructured the monetization model. Do yourself a favor, stay away from Ubisoft and just hop on Nations Forever.

Decent fun with friends, but until the game is stable, I can't recommend it. Inputs get lost far too often and any time anything remotely exciting is happening, the servers lag far too much to make it enjoyable.

Fun game and worth checking out now that the bots are gone, but it still suffers from all the same problems it always has. Medic is too necessary and sniper is too oppressive. It wants to be a skill game but the strategic elements get in the way. It wants to be a strategic game but the skillful elements get in the way. Even so, its still worth checking out, but if youre highly competitive, dont expect to make this your main game.
