Phenomenal story and experience.

The game is riddled with symbolism and visual metaphors, so keep an eye out and an open mind throughout.
With all of it's "fantastical" show, the story is extremely human. This game is a journey worth experiencing and ruminating over for a while.

Can be done in one sitting. It took me about 3h to finish the game and about 30min after that to 100% the achievements.

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good story, not a happy one.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to give my take on this one, seeing all the criticism.

This is basically the first game, but better in any aspect. Looks better, plays better, feels better, the story is more interesting, etc.

The hate for micro-transactions is understandable but mostly unfounded. One of the main things people complain about, the character change being stuck behind a pay wall is plain false. Yes, it costs 500 Rift Crystals to get the change appearance ticket, yes you can buy 500 RC for 1€... But Rift Crystals are not some premium currency like in gatchas, that can only be bought. You can get it through playing. On top of that. 500 RC is super easy to farm in-game.

I have not felt, at any point, the need to pay because I was lacking in any resource so far in my playthrough.

The first Dragon's Dogma had the exact same micro-transactions, as well. But people still love that game to death and have no complaints about such things (there were complaints at launch, but not of this magnitude).

I have had no performance issues whatsoever and I run the game pretty much on max graphics.
I have a very good PC, so I understand if my case is not pertinent to most.

The thing I find to be the worst in the game is the fact that save files are stored on the cloud and not locally (I know there is a local save, but the cloud one is the one that actually matters). This makes multiple playthroughs and modding basically impossible.
As someone who has restarted Skyrim more times than I can count and modded it until it became a different game entirely, this is quite upsetting.

Nobody likes corporate greed, neither do I.
But don't jump on the hate train just because a couple of persons are mad.

This game has been a great experience so far and it makes me sad to see people trash it into oblivion (most of which have not even played it yet) all over the internet.

Very fun mix between a battle royale and a fighting game! All the weapons feel different and fun. Heroes are also very stylish and have unique abilities.

Unique experience and beautiful story. It feels like being in a movie/series with the best storytelling I've seen in a while in the cinematographic world, let alone in the gaming one. With Ragnarok out now, you can also jump right into the next "season" o f this amazing series.

Yes, the game is still very buggy and still feels like content is missing/is unfinished (because it is), but that does not stop the game from being an entertaining and unique experience. The game's come a long way with patches and with following updates (and the DLC!!!) it will only get better!

If you're into farming and like having a lot of things to collect and customize, this is a great game for you! Add on top of that a great Sci-Fi story with interesting gameplay and you got yourself a pretty unique experience.
