Half-Life is one of those games that really stands out against a majority of titles. It's main goal is to immerse you into it's world and challenge you time after time again.

Visuals - 10/10 For the 90's, beautifully atmospheric.

Gameplay - 10/10 Fantastic gameplay, so enticing and hypnotic, you'll swear you'll forget who you were for a second.

Story - 10/10 It's not that complex of a story, something goes wrong in the facility and you have to escape. However, complexity aside, it does manage to get a premise where you, as Gordon Freeman, do not understand everything that happens to you.

Overall, recommended all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way.

FOR ANY KID 14 AND UNDER WANTING TO GET THIS GAME: This is an M for Mature game. For most of you, THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU. I remember when I first got this game; I was underprepared for it. I didn't know how violent it was or how mean the older gamers were going to treat me. I was immature, and chances are, you are immature for a mature game like this too. Please, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. Now, for the adults in the room, TF2 is the most popular out of the class-based team games in all of TF2. It has a thriving community of traders, micspammers, pubbies, 6v6 pros, surfers, and any other group you can imagine. They all play harmoniously(sometimes) in a vast game where you can choose 9 classes to "suit your play style". You can massacre the other team as a Heavy, build sentry bases as an Engineer, run fast and buzz around your foes as a Scout. You can burn people to death as a Hungry Pyro, demolish an enemy's base as a Demoman, and pick off enemies from a distance as a Sniper. There are so many play options, and all of them are more or less balanced out to give everyone a chance at this game.

Since the game was released in 2007, the amount of love the community has given is heartbreaking. The amount of maps, items, play modes, and weapons make this game a home for everyone. Sometimes, this game IS the reason why people have a Steam account. It's just that good.

And every year, I see what was this little baby of a game grow bigger and bigger. It's enthralling, but a little frightening as well. I'm afraid this game will eventually get mainstream attention and a bit of controversy from the artistic and ironic contrast between it's goofy design and uber-violent play. I dread that day.

What's enthralling about it is that we(Valve and the community) are ONE UPDATE AWAY from our 400th update!!!!!

Anyway, I cannot put into this review how extensive (and addictive) this game is. It's taken away about 7 months of my life and I hope it takes away more. Cheers!
