In the fifteenth century, within the mud-blessed and war-cursed land of Bohemia, there liveth Henry —
son of a blacksmith, eater of cabbage, wearer of rags, and haver of exactly zero (0) heroic qualities.

This lad can neither read nor write.
He cannot swing a sword without embarrassing himself.
He knows not courage, strategy, nor how to throw a punch without first being slapped into the dirt.
No prophecy marks him. No god favors him. No tutorial maketh him strong.

Henry is not chosen.
Henry is unfortunate.

His village burneth. His parents perish. His life goeth straight to hell.
And thus begins a tale not of heroes, but of a man repeatedly failing upward through sheer spite and stubborn will.

In this realm, skills are not bestowed by magic menus nor idle clicking.
Nay — thou shalt learn by doing the thing badly, again and again, until thy hands ache, thy pride shatters, and somehow… thou art better.
Every gain is earned through sweat, bruises, and public humiliation.

And lo — when thou finally defeateth a single bandit without dying, panicking, or tripping over thy own feet,
the triumph is greater than slaying any dragon ever could be.

Enter a Bohemia wrought with unholy levels of detail.
The forests whisper. The towns breathe. The peasants judge thee silently.
Roam the land, hunt deer, fear Cumans, fear bandits, and most of all fear multiple enemies at once, for thou art not built like that yet.

Pick locks (poorly).
Haggle like a starving rat.
Beguile maidens with the charisma of a damp loaf.
Investigate crimes. Raise a mighty trebuchet (this alone justifies the price).
Drink with priests, sin with wenches, dabble in witchcraft, dance with the devil, sneak into camps, siege castles, win tourneys, lose tourneys, get drunk, wake up in fields, and accidentally fall in love.

By God above and mud below, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a rare and glorious thing —
a game where thou art not a legend, but a man,
and where becoming slightly competent feels like conquering the world.

“Life is one long series of problems to solve.
Solve enough of them, and thou mightest finally stop being useless.”

Before I played OSRS, I had no friends, no girlfriend, no job, depression, and absolutely no life.
