UPDATE:
There was a recent update for the game that added 2 missions, a couple weapons and 23 more achievements. Right away noticed that C2 is bugged and you can't use it on the mission Stolen Valour. Don't know if that extends to other missions. The game bugs out with reporting and restraining suspects and civilians. The game performs significantly worse for no apparent reason. AI combat actually got fixed with the hard difficulty but they feel impossible to demoralise and arrest without killing them.

Some reasons why you should not buy this game:

VOID Interactive's current stance towards this game seems to be as follows:
- Priority is on appealing to console execs (SONY) instead of working towards fixing or developing the game
- Censoring and sensitising the game, removing its identity, is a-ok for a potential console release
- The concerns and wishes of their existing player base is inconsequential

This plus bugs, broken AI, lack of promised features, failure to deliver on expectations in substance or on time, are all reasons why you should not buy...at least until the devs change their approach to the development of this game.

I think that the best review that I can put here is the message I have attached to my refund request. I will update this review if Steam goes through with the refund or if the ticket is closed.

I'd like to start by saying that buying a game in early access means that as a consumer, I am buying the promise of a complete game and helping the developers/publisher bring the game to that state of finished release, and I accept any risks regarding the quality of the game's v1.0 release.

Since my purchase of KSP2s early access almost 2 years ago, the developers and publishers listed on the steam page have failed to uphold their end of that transaction.

Intercept Games, listed as the developer studio behind Kerbal Space Program 2, no longer exists. Private Division, listed as the publisher of KSP2 has been confirmed to have been sold off to an undisclosed buyer by Take-Two Interactive. There were some statements made, in March and May that KSP2 is not officially cancelled. That the IP is just "changing hands" and development will resume under a new dev team. It has been over half a year since then, and there has been no change, and no indication that the promise that was sold as the early access listing would ever be met.

This is theft.

I'm asking for a refund on this transaction as the transaction was not honoured by the developers/publishers of the game. I'd much rather take the funds that I had invested in KSP2 and spend them elsewhere during this Steam Winter Sale.

I have one further request. If at all possible, this software (its insulting to call it a game) should be delisted from the steam storefront at the earliest opportunity as in my opinion, from the customer perspective it is abandon ware.

Great game really worth the money. Feels great, sounds great, looks great, and it HAS A STORY LINE TO BOOT!? Sign me the ♥♥♥♥ up. Replayablility with the secrets and trying to get better ranks makes this game REALLY worth your money.

Controls: Easy to pick up
Mechanics: OOOOOH BOY THIS ♥♥♥♥ IS NIFTY
Customization: I love that is an option and theres a lot of it.
Story: Delicious
Overall Rating: 10/10 can't wait for the full release.

Dark Souls but 2-Dimensional.

If you have played games in the Total War series before and enjoyed it, this is for sure worth the money. It has the same engine and mechanics as Attila but a smaller map that is less daunting to new players. If you've watched or read the Last Kingdom then this is the game for you.
