I finally got around to playing INSIDE, and I wish I got to experience this game much sooner, almost 10 years after release this is one of the best games I have ever played. The eerie atmosphere really sets the tone for this dark horror game. Each area feels like a painting and the contrast between light and dark is stunning. The minimalist design fits this game perfectly and creates a rich canvas and thought provoking adventure. The ambient music and sounds provide a creepy tension and sets the pace as you traverse the baron but beautiful landscapes. In this dangerous and unforgiving world you have to use your wits to puzzle your way forward. Many moments are intense and each action has a sense of purpose. All of the puzzles are engaging and well thought out, and never too challenging or repetitive. The story is very unique and will leave you haunted and captivated. The type that will have you thinking about it well after finishing the game. From top to bottom INSIDE is a masterpiece and a must play in my book.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is as wacky and crazy as the name sounds and just as wild and goofy to play. Killer Klowns is a fresh and exciting take on the asymmetrical horror experience. The over the top presentation of the game is excellent, the 1980's vibe is highlighted throughout the game and creates a rich and playful atmosphere. I recently watched the movie for the first time (great btw) in preparation for this review and I was happy to see the game draws heavily on the film. From the outfits to the props and even kill animations, all mimic the cult classic horror movie which adds even more nostalgia to the mix.

The matches are wild and chaotic, there are plenty of laughs and thrills to be had, especially when playing with friends. The team composition is 3 Klowns and 7 Humans which provides plenty of opportunity for mayhem. Escaping as a human is challenging but not overly difficult. Playing as a Klown is a joy, but dont let their looks fool you. They are mean, powerful, and there is a variety of funky classes to choose from. All have crazy outer worldly abilities and weapons, like a popcorn gun or walking balloon dog for example, at your disposal to chase and hunt down the humans. I also appreciated the fact that the human team has a fighting chance when encountering a Klown compared to other games. Shotguns, pistols, and baseball bats, are some of the weapons you can use to pop a clowns nose and send them packing. Unlockable classes and abilities help replayability and there are a lot of cosmetics to collect. However after 25 hours I did feel a lack of variety and repetitiveness in the core gameplay. Some aspects like carrying a cocoon back to the ship and chasing humans felt more laboursome than I would of liked, and escaping as a human felt easy at times. There are mini games you can play as a human when you are killed to help your teammates who are still alive to keep you engaged however it was not enough to keep me totally hooked and dying to come back to the game.

The graphics and silly effects are pleasing to the eye with good lighting and character/environment detail. The Klowns look very detailed and creepy, a highlight of the game. There is a decent selection of maps all of which are fun to play on. The online community has dropped heavily since release, though you can still find matches fairly easily and you can also play custom matches with friends. Overall Killer Klowns is a crazy, exciting, and welcomed addition to the genre. A truly memorable game and one I enjoyed my time playing. It is hard not to smile while playing and definitely worth checking out for its price even though it can become repetitive after awhile.

Death in the Water is a simple yet fun underwater survival game. The goal is to kill as many Great Whites as you can in one life while they tear you to shreds. The more sharks you kill the more that will spawn at one time which is scary, exciting, and challenging. The game is intentionally difficult and only the bravest of divers will survive for long. The sharks can swarm you from all sides which keeps you on the edge of your seat and your heart pumping. I have frantically yelped a few times when being caught off guard and the blood and gore effects add to the mayhem. Not many games pit you flipper to flipper with one of the most deadly creatures of the seas which makes it feel fresh and unique. Your only weapon is a harpoon which does not reload very fast so you have to carefully maneuver the oncoming jaws of razor sharp teeth. The controls and mechanics pair well with the submerged gameplay. The game also keeps track of your best runs which adds replay value, but it would be nice if there was a leaderboard to compare your scores with others. The graphics are surprisingly good, the sharks are impressive and look almost realistic at times, and the water and lighting effects are solid. The game is short and does not offer variety however it still succeeds in being a fun, memorable, and thrilling experience. Sometimes less is more and this game is a good example of that. The game is also inexpensive which makes this an easy recommendation for me.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a high flying action packed sports game that is a wicked good time. I have always wanted to play a Quidditch game and this game is a delight to play and well worth the long wait. The game is very easy to pick up and learn while still having depth and giving you a lot to master. The controls are smooth and responsive which helps tight maneuvering around the pitch. The game is played 3 v 3 (6 v 6 with the included AI) and all of the four classes are fun to play. I enjoyed playing as the Keeper as it was the less picked class but also had a big role in the outcome of the match. Also playing as a Chaser is really fun when you are making a crazy winding run to the goal with the quaffle and having the entire opposing team chasing and breathing down your neck, its exhilarating and quite the adrenaline rush. Quidditch is competitive and fast paced, matches can last up to 7 minutes but usually end sooner. The graphics are on the cartoon side but they are charming none the less. There are currently 6 map locations which are unique and all look good however they could add more objects to the background and maps to bring them more to life. There is nice depth to the character customization and there are a ton of cosmetics to collect and apply to personalize your character. The in game currency you are awarded for completing matches is generous and there are many cool items you can unlock in the store as well.

There isn't much of a story and its short but that is expected for a sports game. Also the AI on the hardest setting isn't very difficult. All of the classes can be upgraded which greatly enhances your performances and gives you added skills. In the story you have the freedom to switch between all of the classes on the fly while when playing online you are restricted to two classes. There is a lack in variety of game modes currently. A handful of extra game types would really help spice up the game play. However even with the lack of diversity there is still replay value and even more so when playing with friends. I did not encounter many bugs playing the game which was nice to see at launch. At times when things got really hectic there was a bit of lag and sometimes when switching back and forth between the classes the game would glitch a little, however these were minor issues. Overall I had a blast playing Quidditch Champions. The issues with the game are minor when compared to the magical moments you can create when playing. The concept is truly awesome and well executed. Even if you are not a Sports fan or a Harry Potter fan I would still recommend this game as its just pure fun.

I will start out by saying I am new to the Action RPG genre, and having little to no experience in the genre I rather enjoyed my time playing Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. Before starting I saw the mixed reviews and was not sure what to expect, but right from the early going I was delightfully surprised to like and even be impressed with many aspects of the game. The game play was fun and I was kept mostly engaged throughout the story. Wolcen isn't the most challenging game even on the harder mode, but I didn't find this to be a drawback. The end game does become repetitive but still offers ways to up the challenge. The combat was solid and even in the end game it was still fun mowing down endless hordes of enemies. There are many enemy types and some have a really cool design to them which helps keep the game fresh. There are many types of weapons and spells to choose which all can be tweaked to your own liking to better suit your build. The perk tree is massive but doesn't feel overwhelming, you can even rotate the perk tree to allow even more customization to your character. You can make some really OP builds and there are a lot of possibilities. I enjoyed the story even if it was a little cliche and predictable, but it had some depth to it and was on the longer side. Some parts of the story were hard to follow but still in the end I was satisfied. The graphics were a strong point of the game. From the cinematic like cut scenes, to the detailed environments and enemies, its a pretty game. The music suited the game nicely and added to the medieval feel of the game. There were some parts of the game that reminded me of The Lord of the Rings which I thought was cool.

That being said there were some aspects of the game that were inconsistent and held the game back. The game lacked polish in areas, there were some graphical glitches and audio glitches but nothing too severe. On occasions a piece of loot could not be picked up off the ground. I did experience infrequent crashing though the game did a good job of keeping your progress. Some parts of the game like the hub area and project map felt a tad bleak and lifeless. There is an online component to the game with an related achievement that allows you to play Co-op, but that feature will be removed September 17th, 2024. The price is fair for the quantity and quality of the product, though there are games in the genre that are free and many would argue better games. However these negatives weren't enough to deter me from liking the game and my time playing it. Wolcen might not be winning any awards for best in category but I still thought it was a good game and one I would recommend.

Bioshock 2 is an amazing game from top to bottom and my favorite Bioshock game of the series. The atmosphere is some of the best in any game I have ever played. From the moment you dive into the game and hear the loading music you get this creepy and spine chilling feeling and even more so playing. The oldies soundtrack echoes in the past while also adding to the scare factor. There is plenty to explore in the vast underwater city of Rapture and its hard not to when the setting is so cool and interesting. The graphics still look good for an old game. The water effects look great and some of the plasmid power ups are pleasing to the eye. The attention to detail is in abundance, from the blood smeared text on walls to the propaganda posters and unique locations it all brings the world alive and feels as if it could have been real. There are plenty of horrific moments and scenes and it matches extremely well with the first person shooter gameplay. The combat is intense and very satisfying, playing as a Big Daddy feels great and powerful. There are plenty of weapons, gadgets, and abilities to choose from allowing you to personalize the fighting to your liking. There is always more than one way to approach a fight and having the freedom of choice is nice. The story is well written, well paced, and at times very moving. The main antagonist Sofia Lamb is one of my all time favorites. The multiplayer is a surprisingly nice addition to the game and offers a healthy variety of modes to submerge in. There is a cult following for its multiplayer and games can still be found to this day in its more popular modes. Its fun to pit your Big Daddy skills against the rest and is more fast paced and competitive than you would expect. I deeply enjoyed all my time in this game and one I am very fond of. I highly recommend anyone to play this game, there is alot to enjoy.

Magicka is a comical indie action-adventure game where you play as an unassuming wizard attempting to save the world from evil. That might sound cliche though its intentional and the game is full of jokes and satire. You have 8 different elements to choose from and you can combine them into powerful spells with devastating effects. You will need to think fast on your feet as to which spells are best for the given situation thus you will need to use strategy as some levels are quite challenging. The graphics and effects on the spells are done well for an older indie game and the gore setting is a nice compliment. The controls are fine, though the aiming might take a little getting used to and the magic combinations will require some memory. The story is short but charming with some funny "twist and turns". The dialogue is well written, and I found myself chuckling at the game quite often. The level design is good with lots of enemies to wreak havoc on and blast to oblivion. There are a lot of cool and unique wizards with varying abilities to choose from. There is also a nice selection of game modes aside to the story which are all fun to play. Magicka is catered to coop play, and you can play up to 4 players. It will be hard not to laugh, maybe even cry, while playing this game with a friend. However there are some parts of the game that are extremely buggy and some content is almost impossible to complete in the games current state due to crashing errors which caused a fair amount of headache. I was able to download a previous version of the game off of https://steamdb.info/app/42910/ to complete the game though it still crashed here and there. If you can overlook the bugs and crashes Magicka is wickedly fun and a classic indie game well worth a try!

The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare is a funny and playful multiplayer shooter that still looks and plays great after almost a decade. For a small package and even smaller soldiers this game packs a big punch. The animation style graphics are sharp and the lighting effects are really well done. The controls feel smooth and the aiming is accurate. Combat is fast paced and you always come equipped with a small arsenal of weapons ensuring you're ready for action. The maps are well designed and outrageous, and there are lots to chose from. There is also a nice variety in game modes and all are very unique and fun to play. The official servers are usually inactive, but you will still see some people playing from time to time. You can even host your own server and play with bots which is a nice addition and adds some challenge. I didn't myself but I can see playing this game with friends to be a blast. A lot of the time playing I felt as if I was in a Toy Story game which was cool and nostalgic. This game is very friendly and casual so its easy to enjoy and there is a lot of replay value. There are some minor menu user interface issues and the game can be a little buggy but its very minor and in a way adds to the charm. This game goes on sale for $1-$2 which is a great deal. Overall I enjoyed playing this game and its gets a big thumbs up and salute from me.

In Forza Horizon 4 the sky is the limit. There is so much to do, so much to see, and so much fun to have this easily is the best racing game I have played to date. The UK setting is a perfect backdrop for this massive open world map. There is a ton of places to explore and visit with a surprisingly high level of real world accuracy, and an seemingly endless supply of races and events to participate in. There is also a very diverse selection of race types so you hardly ever get bored and no race feels the same as the last. Storming through the fields and hills of the countryside going upwards of 250 mph in my Ferrari Evo was thrilling and sometimes even more preferable than fast travel. There are plenty of story missions and they all add nice flavor and depth to the game, even if the story is a bit shallow and lighthearted. The graphics and attention to detail is superb, this game looks and feels like a newly released game. There is a massive list of cars to collect, over 700, and all of them are fun to drive and customize. Driving feels smooth and precise and each car has its own distinct feel to it. You can even make your own custom liveries and tunes for cars which can be downloaded and rated by the community. This game is friendly to people new to racing games while also providing a challenge for the experienced racers.

FH4 conceptually is perfect for an online game, its really cool to see other drivers in your lobby racing by you or attempting the same stunts as you. The multiplayer modes of the game were a lot of fun. You can do all types of single races or series of races, compete against everyone or on a team, you can also make custom challenges for others to attempt, and a lot more. My favorite online mode was the Eliminator which was a battle royale type mode, this mode really got me on the edge of my seat and I enjoyed the challenge. In some of the team online modes there are some really long wait times between races which can be a drag though this isn't an issue in all online modes. There are also frequent lobby connectivity issues after races but thankfully it doesn't take long to reconnect and its not necessary. The DLC's are both awesome and bring a hefty injection of content. I was hooked on the Lego DLC, it was very nostalgic and exciting to race and crash around the Lego map and have Lego debris scatter and flying everywhere it was a blast. There were actually times I was having so much fun in this game I would have to take a moment to pause the game and just reflect on how much fun I am having. Forza Horizon 4 is an adventure I wish didn't have to end but luckily there is so much content it never feels like it does. This is truly a creme de la creme racing game and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Ok boys time to get rich! Depth is a thrilling underwater multiplayer shooter where you can play as a diver or a Shark. Almost a decade after release I got around to playing this game as I always was intrigued by the look of it and I was glad I did. To start off the atmosphere of the game is excellent and has a dark eerie vibe. The lighting and underwater effects are well done and to this day still look sharp. The graphics are pleasant and the sounds are spot on. Also there are many cool aqueous maps that are well designed and feel unique. The concept of Depth always stood out to me and it is nicely executed, a classic. There is a lot to explore in this game and we are still just at the tip of the iceberg.

There are 7 species of sharks and even more sub species with different abilities to choose to specialize and hunt down your prey. There will be strategy involved when hunting down the diver team so choosing the right shark combination and abilities is crucial. Maneuvering through the abyssal waters feels great and the controls feel smooth and agile. Playing on the diver team is equally as fun. You have a large selection of weapons and tools to take down the sharks and complete your objective. As a diver you will not want to be caught out alone and will want to stay close to your fellow divers. The team based format is typically 4 divers and 2 sharks. The divers goal is to collect treasure lying around in the depths of the sea to fuel their adventure and eventual escape while the sharks are trying to eat every last diver. The feeling you get when being hunted by a shark is really exciting and at times scary.

Each game feels fresh and exciting and you can sink a ton of hours into this game. The online community is now small but still active since you can find multiplayer matches daily. There is a nice variety of game modes to choose from and if you cannot find real players you have the option to play against bots which is nice. There are a ton of cool skins to collect for your sharks and weapons which is a great touch to the game. I purchased several of the shark skins, some are so mean and awesome looking. I have owned this game for a long time and I am truly sad I did not play the game much sooner and feel like I missed out on a lot of potential fun. I had a lot fond memories playing this game and one I will happily go back to. This game usually goes on sale for around $5 which is a steal. If you haven't played Depth yet now is a great time, you wont want to miss out. I highly recommend this game and hope you enjoy it as much as me.
