This game is useless if you want to use a controller outside of an xbox gamepad The game refuses to recognize any other generic controllers in windows. Setup Steam for generic inputs and they work fine in other programs, but DJ Max acts like it doesnt exist.

Crappy lazy programming, its like its 1989 over here with zero real support for controllers

Horrid un-skippable cut scenes make this an supersize in wasted time.

684 hours....I've played this game 684 hours. A game takes about 25 minutes play a game....where did my life go!

A very worthy successor to the Galactic Civilizations franchise that has been getting better and better for decades. This latest installment has a massive update to streamlining game play, while never leaving me feeling like I'm not the one making the important decisions. The new AI race generator is really fun, and getting better all the time. While the core 4X gameplay is exactly what I want from a strategy game.
It looks amazing and plays great.
And while I'm sure there will be a few expansions over the years, Stardock doesn't go overboard like some other companies and create so many expansions that you end of paying $400 for the whole game.
If you like 4X strategy games, this is the one to get in 2023

Horrible cash grab. Years spent and $pent buying licenses for many dozens (dang near 100) tables. Marvel, William, Alien, Jurasic park, and on and on....now they want me to PAY AGAIN for licensed tables I've already paid hundreds of dollars for.

Simple and addictive fun. Real time small squad strategy game with Weapon and Base upgrade elements. The best part is you can PAUSE the real time fun as much as you want, very helpful when you're not 17 any more! Roguelike progression ensures that you get a more play options as you start new games after you die.

There are many strategies to try, and the RNG keeps things interesting as you try and fit your decisions/playstyle to the available mission types each game day.

Copy and past has been added to the default game, and most of the critical bugs (like the wards not working propperly) have been addressed. Much improved from the release.
