Hey i saw you had a post for the alienware alpha fan noise i also have the i3 version and the fan was running loud even after turning it on after being off all night so i searched and found to update the bios after updating the bios when it restarted the fan was comepletely silent i definitely think you should updat the bios you probably have bios version A00 you need A04 get it here for dell website http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/alienware-alpha/drivers/advanced
