It's fun, but replayability is sort of lacking. You essentially always get upgraded gear at a rate that outpaces the actual challenge of the content. So you're just constantly overpowered. Good to play with your noober ARPG friends who were never good at path of exile.

Frustrating parts where you want to throw your controller at the screen, then it transitions to where you're laughing until tears. Definitely one of the best games I've played in a long time, it covers everything... from skygliding, to water ski racing, to steering flying cars while one of you shoots.

edit: girlfriend went from never playing a mechanically intense game and struggling -> me dying immediately on the last boss and her doing every mechanic perfectly and carrying.

10/10 surpassed expectations on all fronts

Honestly the mixed reviews are misleading at best. The game delivers some of the most fun L4D style mechanics, while having amazing maps and atmospheres. People are mildly upset that the crafting isn't fully fleshed out, and loot acquirement isn't as streamlined as they'd like. But I'd rather have a game that leaves nothing on the table when it comes to game play, while needing to flesh out the peripherals, than vice versa.

put in 70 hours in about four days, going to be putting in hundreds more and enjoy each patch that provides new content and features.

Played this game during release week and quit after quickly becoming bored at max level. Got tired of Destiny 2, came back, and no regrets. The amount of things to do endgame is insane. Commendation farming for masks, icons, and other rewards, resistances, underground, legendary mission, and the dark zone.

Ignore the earlier bad reviews, the game is finally fixed, and it's what it should have been when it first came out.
