Simple and Fun. More fast paced than the original game, and obviously require less skill than the 3-dimension world.


But still a little improvements to expect:


Outcome of shoot

- Though there's no "headshot" in 2D, players should still be encouraged to shoot towards the center of the body in order to deal maximazed damage.

Rebalance of guns

- Since there's one less dimension than actual CS, guns with faster fire rate is way more powerful (yes, M249) even if recoil is turned on, and sniper guns are way less useful in this case.

- Should add more recoil to guns, and reduce accuracy when walking.

Visions

- Should lift the camera when the mouse is close the edge of screen (with a slightly offset center), such that you can see further at that direction, which will also make sniper scope useful.

Movements

- Should add a jump/roll mechanic that could give player the ability to temporarily dodge the bullet, or move between platforms. It's boring to just move by WASD.

- Map lacks a dimension in height, so there are some spots that turn out to be too good especially when the map is actually derived from the original CS.


Friendlyfire

- Just don't turn on friendlyfire. It's way too easy to shoot your teammates accidentally, and the punishment is not welcome in this situation.







Overall, It's worth trying as a free to play game on steam, so I would recommend this game. But as I mentioned above, such improvements could still be beneficial here.
