The game is really fun. I mostly like to play in doubles, since I'm terrible at combat and need someone else to blame my failures on, but I have fun when playing single-player too. There's a lot of RNG regarding loot spawn, game-start spawn locations, and the events that occur during each match, but the main mechanics are skill-based and reward players who invest time learning to be good at the game. Each game can last between 2 and 25 minutes.

The devs made a few mis-steps earlier in the Early Access period, but overall I feel they've redeemed themselves. They listen and engage with the community through multiple channels, and through the feedback and various timely patches (~every 2 weeks), I feel like they've learned a ton about the right ways and the wrong ways to develop a game.

I had taken a break from the game when the combat was a bit wonky, but I'm back playing it more often and am excited to keep playing more! Definitely worth the price you pay for it.
