The best way to play the rules of the first season of Blood Bowl. Blood Bowl 3 will be great but it will be based on Blood Bowl second season rulebook unlike all previous Blood Bowl. So in a way this is the definitive version to play classic Blood Bowl. All official teams are here and there are hardly any changes. The AI is mediocre but it is very easy to find other humans to play with. The DLC system is trash so make sure you grab the Legendary Edition, it is the only way to get the DLC at a price that is worth it.

Really nice! You can extract the art from the pdf too, the page numbers are on a separate layer from the actual artwork, it even includes the original box artwork from 1995 shown on the store page here at 2480 x 1398 pixels. Over 100 pages of nice artwork plus a short story at the end.

Like DOOM Eternal and WH:40K had a baby.

It's really genius how they made the combat because the enemies have hitscan weapons and you can't dodge projectiles, every time you take damage you enter into a short state where all damage you dish out heals you and the closer you are to your target the more you heal. So basically if you just play it like modern DOOM and run and gun constantly, double jumping, wallrunning, sliding, dashing, grappling, you stay at good HP. Not to mention you have basically DOOM powerups in your pocket with just little cooldowns. The difficulty settings are good as well and can be changed at any time if you start getting too powerful.

Then there is the loot and customisation system WOW! The guns feel unique and you can modify them drastically. For example you can take a double barrel shotgun, make it shoot slugs, give it a long barrel and a scope and turn it into a double barrel sniper. Or you can take that same gun and make it shoot regular shotgun pellets, or a ricocheting slug that is less accurate.

There is a lot more I could talk about but those are the things that impressed me.

Was worth the wait for the amazing amount of post launch support. The game is massive, there is so much stuff to do compared to MudRunner that I am blown away.

The Baker Incident Report is probably the best part but I don't regret buying it.

(It's a long document written by a returning character. It says 80 pages but the pages are only a paragraph each.)
