one of the cutest visual novels i have ever read. it's so nostalgic. it's not a linear story, allowing full customization on your personality, sexuality, beliefs, and how your relationship with Water Boy will go. it truly makes you appreciate your loved ones. i love it. i love it. i love it.

i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game. you feel good about defeating a boss then you realize you have to backtrack 5 billion meters to your quest giver just to be told to send a message to another quest giver, standing a trillion meters away. i found myself reading a book while waiting for my turn in a boss fight. pets are cute, spells are cool, but also screw the new update.

Though there are several inconsistencies in this game compared to the original, Before The Storm is a wholesome backstory to my favorite LiS character. I also loved Rachel Amber and her story. The ending gave me chills. Highly recommend playing this before the first game, because it makes everything hurt even more. Started to prefer Rachel over Max, 10/10 hella good

A tactic-based RPG that I definitely have a soft spot for. I've downloaded this game on Steam and played it twice out of pure nostalgia. While the combat can come across as repetitive (and backtracking feels like a chore) this game truly redeems itself due to its charming and unique set of characters, brought to life by their voice actors. The story is original, funny, and compelling; every decision impacts the personality of your Warden and his companions. Even the glitches itself make for a wonderfully flawed video game, earning its spot as the best game in the Dragon Age series.
