This is an almost objective improvement to DOOM 2016. The game is even faster and more frantic, which demands your constant attention. What I especially love is how each weapon now has explicit practical utility, as opposed to the "shoot boolet in general direction" mentality of 2016, a leg up that I feel DUSK had over it. The plot was also great to read into, presenting a simple conflict given depth by a wealth of optional lore.

My main complaint is the absence of the highly-replayable Arcade Mode from 2016, though I have hope that it will be reintroduced in a later patch. I also miss traditional deathmatch multiplayer, but the Battlemode, from what I have played, is freshly entertaining.

It's gun simulator and it does it well.

It’s fun for an RPG horror game, but the plot seems pretty contrived by the end and neither did it resonate with me. I didn’t hate it, but I felt like my time was wasted.
