Fairly short, psychological space horror point 'n click game. Relatively easy to solve as well. I managed to go though the whole game without looking into solutions and having moments of hesitation only once or twice. Throughout the whole game the mystery behind all that's happening at the facility kept me going. It is really creatively written, a bit unsettling and intruguing at the same time. Definitely worth the current price.

Kinda enjoyable, but certainly forgettable one-time experience. Controls are easy, not too many glitches and no game breaking bugs. Runs pretty smootly with occasional frame drops.
I enjoyed the occasional world storytelling, but unfortunately most of the island remains empty and unremarkable. I also wish the character was given even a simple weapon outside the train to fight off the bandits upon encounters. Having to run back to the train every time feels like an unnecessary struggle.
The nightmare mode is absolute garbage of a mode. Don't do this to yourselves. It's not worth your time and nerves.

Prosty, liniowy survival silnie inspirowany The Long Dark o przetrwaniu w trudnych, zimowych warunkach, z mrocznym twistem fabularnym.
Zbieramy surowce, craftujemy narzędzia i ubranka i eksplorujemy mapę by wydostać się z tego nieprzyjaznego obszaru. Wszystko przygotowane raczej intuicyjnie od strony designu, choć nie obyło się bez drobnych głupotek typowych dla mniejszych projektów tego typu. Niemniej na takie 10h zabawy nie przeszkadza to zbytnio.
Tytuł nieco zbił mnie z tropu, bo spodziewałem się nawiązań do klasyki kina niemieckiego Geralda Kargla.
Za taką cenę warto sprawdzić. Szczególnie, że już na winter sale'u trafił na przecenę w bundlu, więc będzie okazja trafić go w jeszcze korzystniejszej cenie

It lacks simple explanation at the beginning to the core mechanics incl. the need to obtain the camera and to collect numerous batteries and meds. The HUD is also counterintuitive, red color should indicate the empty level and white the filling level. It took me a while to get used to that being reverted and didnt help in figuring out the mechanics with batteries and tabs, as I was sure I had both bars on full after first pickup.
Other than that it is a fairly enjoyable, story-driven game about collecting anomalies.

This game is a true work of art.
Yes, it is quite short if you decide to go straight to the objective, but even then the greatest joy to be had comes from the journey itself, like in the greatest road stories of all time.
Reaching the end eventually makes you sad, but leaves you with the feeling of accomplishment and the urge to learn more about this world. If only there was a way to do it, even though an in-game glossary or something....

The controls are fine, not to say very basic. I used the xbox controller as recommended in the beginning and had only a few isues with taming the herd. I heard it might me more often when using keyboard + mouse, so I would also recommend going with a gamepad.

Another thing to appreciate is the music. This is one of the top compositions I got to listen to this year, even with such huge competition.

I encourage you to give this one a shot if yoou're looking for a chill & comfy experience, kind of similar to Journey.

A mix of atmospheric, chill, exploration open world game with arcade flying through circles trials.

The controls are a bit clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you're set to spend a couple of fairly enjoyable hours exploring the islands and lvling up your raven and learning the curiosities from norse mythology scattered around the islands.

Since it's a work of a solo developer, it deserves the appreciation 🙌

I don't have many arguments to consider giving it a positive review. And my opininon is not based on the game length, small scope or the visible low budget.

It is rather the result of experiencing a project which is the effect of visible minimalism. The idea behind it is quite cool and I could very well see it done more solidly. However, there are two layers here, the story and the gameplay, which are not coordinated with one another. While walking SLOWLY around the ruined building we encounter the most cliché, cheap types of scares you could possibly think of. None of them is consequently tied to the final encounter.

While there are many translation options, I suppose most of them are done by AI or automatic translator, because its quality is really poor.

On top of it all, the performance is horrible. For such a small project it is straight up baffling that you would require the newest RTX 4xxx or 5xxx in order for it to run smoothly. This is the final argument for a thesis, that being able to generate a pleasing to the eye scenery in an engine like UE5 shouldn't be the sole reason for creating a whole game project around it. It requires a bit more of planning ahead.

Let's hope that at least some of the technical issues get resolved in the future. I might reconsider changing the opinion after that.

In many aspects this game stands against the gameplay design standards that make the playthrough enjoyable for the player. It is beatable and quite easy to max out, but overall it is just not worth it in my opinion. The gameplay is around 30-minutes long if you continously sprint (which you should as it is the easiest way to avoid frustration on constant encounters with the ghost) and all this time is just mindless running without ever knowing what to do. Nothing is indicated in the UI in even as simple way as task description "find object X".
Even after 10 years the game sucks out the processor really hard.
It was not the worst time I had in walking sim horrors, but if you're looking for a decent one, it's not this one. Check out Slender: The Arrival instead.

Asylum to produkcja silnie nastawiona na immersję i sięgająca w tym delu po środki zwyczajnie niespotykane w dzisiejszych czasach i we współczesnych grach. Niech was oldschoolowy styl nie zwiedzie. Jeśli macie alergię na jumpscare'y i wszlkie podobne tanie sposoby straszenia, to spokojnie, tutaj nie występuje nic z tych rzeczy. Twórcy opanowali do perfekcji manewrowanie w obrębie gatunku, który sobie obrali, wykorzystując wszelkie ograniczenia nałożone w ten sposób na gracza. Duży nacisk został tu położony na wzbudzanie uczucia niepokoju przez klimat budowany ambientową muzyką, dźwiękami otoczenia, oświetleniem i specyficznym efektem animacji poklatkowej. W dodatku twórcy niejednokrotnie igrają sobie z graczem, wystawiając go na konfrontacje z pacjentami, którzy naruszają przestrzeń, w której aktualnie się znajduje i z którego nie może szybko uciec.

Jeśli macie wolne około 75 zł i 10h czasu, warto dać temu tytułowi szansę, bo zaginał kompletnie w odmętach Steama, a zdecydowanie zasługuje na waszą uwagę. Nie jest to tytuł pozbawiony wad i da się odczuć miejscami ograniczenia budżetowe, jednak za tę stosunkowo niską cenę jak na obecne standardy oferuje doświadczenie, którego próżno szukać w licznych tytułach o podobnej tematyce.
