I use BUFF163 / YouPin898 market prices as the baseline.


I am experienced cs2 trader and I created amazing method for cs2 skins pricing based on my experience. I recommend reading this to help you avoid losses and trade with confidence.

Some CS2 skins are systematically “overpriced,” meaning their BUFF163 listing values are higher than what they realistically sell for.

Items that are commonly overpriced:
-StatTrak™ knives
-Doppler / Gamma Doppler / Fade / Marble Fade / Tiger Tooth knives in Minimal Wear (MW). Only Factory New (FN) is ok.

1. StatTrak™ knife price = (same knife without StatTrak price) × 0.97

Example:
if:
★ Huntsman Knife | Case Hardened (Field-Tested) — $450 on BUFF
★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Case Hardened (Field-Tested) — $740 on BUFF

Then the real value for the StatTrak™ version is:
$450 × 0.97 = $436.50 (≈ $437)

2. MW (Minimal Wrar) Doppler / Gamma Doppler / Fade / Marble Fade / Tiger Tooth knife price = FN (Factory New) version price × 0.97

Now I am only writting about Doppler / Gamma Doppler / Fade / Marble Fade / Tiger Tooth knifes !!!

Example:
if:
★ Huntsman Knife | Marble Fade (Factory New) — $330 on BUFF
★ Huntsman Knife | Marble Fade (Minimal Wear) — $360 on BUFF

Then the real value of ★ Huntsman Knife | Marble Fade (Minimal Wear) is:
$330 × 0.97 = $320

3. All other skins = BUFF163 price

There are exceptions. Always compare buy orders to listings. If a skin is listed at $1000 but the top buy order is $300, it’s obviously not worth $1,000.
I only consider skins whose highest buy order is at least 85–90% of the current listing price.

4. Rare patterns/ expensive stickers on skins/ low floats/

-Rare Case Hardened patterns. These can lead to either a big overpay or a big loss. Because they sell so infrequently, it’s hard to pin down a fair value. If you like risk, go for them; I personally never pay a premium for rare patterns.

-Expensive stickers applied to skins. Also difficult to price due to low sales volume. I never pay extra for them. As a rule of thumb, stickers on a skin usually add only 1–4% of the sticker’s standalone value.

-Low floats. I usually ignore float value, with a few exceptions. Certain gloves with very low floats and Crimson Web knives in low floats are often worth more. A quick test: if there are buy orders on BUFF163 or YouPin898 targeting a specific float, the skin likely deserves higher price; if not, treat it at standard market price.
