Good god this DLC was horribly unfun. The story was fine and I like that they tried to flesh out Theresa, but it was just a giant waste of time from a gameplay perspective. Not only that, but it doesn't seem like you really get anything for doing it. This should have been just a few cut scenes at best. I only did this DLC because I got the Royal edition and didn't know what I was stepping into. If I had, I would have just skipped it.

I have to give credit where credit is due. EA actually has a unique, fun, well polished game here. It's worth the money, I promise.

Honestly, it's a surprisingly good good game. I have over 1,900 in Rocket League and am usually pretty critical of "Rocket League" type games. I went in thinking was going to handle terrible because it didn't really look physics based. An while it doesn't handle like Rocket League it does offer it's own set of nuance.

First off is the nature of teamwork. Passing is critical in this game so you can think about like soccer (football, whatever) in that way. You also have mana the regenerates over time, so there is a resource management aspect to the game. I thought I was going to make this longer but I'll keep it short. Overall I think this game has a lot of potential. As long as the development team sticks with it and adds content I think they'll be successful. I haven't encountered any bugs yet and the game has run just fine. The only grip at this moment is that it's new and still needs to catch a crowd.

I literally don't have a single bad thing to say about this game. Extremely fun co-op experience, cool power ups with a great difficulty curve and some awesome music. Don't hesitate, just buy it.

Ok so you've looked at the game and think it looks fun, but you also notice the mixed reviews. You look down and see people saying it's pay to win and that it's not optimized well. These arguments do not hold weight. Here is the truth about the game, while it does have one major problem that's being worked on as we speak, I would like to show you how this is a good game that is worth your time.

First we'll start with what the game is. It is essentially a a mix of Medieval Team Fortress 2 and rugby, and yes that sounds weird. You have a team of five, with different classes, carry and throw sheep into the other teams goal. It sounds strange, but it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blast. This is a game where good team work really counts. The game also ran really well for me, it did crash once but I was right back in in under a minute.

As mentioned earlier you do have to purchase each additional class, as of writing this they are $15 for all of them. Some people have been calling this game pay to win because of this, but most people are adults that understand nothing is free and developers are in the business of making money. So from that perspective you can look at this as a online demo. As of right now the only thing you pay for is classes, everything else is earned from leveling up.

So as it stands would I recommend this game? Absolutely. The party system will be fixed of course, but if you understand that developers need to make money, and can get past that, you'll see something we don't see often in gaming, an original game. To me that's worth the $15

-Buy steam card and a peach Snapple iced tea
-Get home and start playing said game
-Realize this game has kept me up till 6am

-Realize some good things do come from the ghetto

Heres the thing, if you've put endless hours into the Day Z mod then your perception on this game might be a tad sour. It's understandable to feel that way. While this game is heading in a good direction, there are some core features that are present in the mod and are absent with in the Day Z SA. There is still some good to be said about this game.

What Day Z really has going for it is the fact that it is easily one of the more featured, polished survival simulation games out there. The team at Bohemia has been working on this game for quite some time now and the early access has come far since it was first released. Chernarus (I think that's miss spelled) is a huge map, probably the largest out of any the survival games out right now. It can sometime take an hour or more to travel from on end to the other and thats if you don't have to make too many stops. learning all the mechanics in the game can be daunting at first, but take the time to learn the ropes and you start to see the depth. Starting farms, creating camps, being a knowledgeable medic and a myraid of other features really make you feel like you are surviving. But for me Day Z really shines with its intense PvP. Day Z is a game of patience with a bit of thinking on your feet. This is one of those games where you can truley be a sniper, range finders and binoculars are a must, and knowing the lay of the land with raise your chances of survival exponetially. The stories that you'll have after playing for a while will be memorable for sure.

Most of the negative things to say about this game are father minor, but still affect the game as a whole. It was built using a buggy engine to begin with, so the bugs are there. Zomibes can be difficult to deal with when they all of the sudden show up in the house through a wall. Falling from 8 stories of a building because you were on the patio and somehow slide through the rails has happend more time than I wish to remember. And since this is a permadeth game dying really, REALLY sucks. Especially if you've spent an hour finding your friends and they are far from any spawn point.
There have been issues with hackers but honestly I've really not had an issue with that.

The ugly of this game really affects Day Z vets as opposed to some who is just coming into the game with the stand alone. LLike I mentioned earlier, if you have been playing Day Z since mod there are some core features missing, mainly vehicles and to some extent base building. While base building wasn't in the vanillia mod, many other versions provided that feature, and this was before SA was available. They have started to make progress with vehicles, but its been such a long time to get to this point that many have given up on SA. Especially with other games in the genre now offering these types of mechanics, it's almost as if SA will have to start playing catch up.

I do feel its taken Bohemia way too long to get to this point, and even then the game is still not where it should be. With other solid games coming out (most notably H1Z1) I worry that Day Z will be left behind before its real potential shines.
If your new to Day Z and just getting into the genre then you can't do much better than Day Z. If your a vet, well then you find a few holes that are hard to fill.

Ok so this is the best multiplayer game I have purchased since Chivalry, and best of all the online works flawlessly. That really all there is to say. If you enjoy multiplayer games this is and absolute must buy...... Send a friend request for the duck game group.

This is by far my favorite Resident Evil. I was a big fan of the original on Playstation one, but this version just takes the cake. Definitely a must own :bow:
