I've played this game since the beginning, with periods on and off, so I am not the best player around. However I do notice that the newer maps feel more like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to me than the older maps with more RNG based climbups, there is even a map without checkpoints in between. I've enjoyed this game a lot, but in the state it is in right now I would not recommend buying it, since in the normal mode, which you probably will be playing with some friends, all the newer maps have a heavier weighting than the older maps and the learning curve to get to any finals will either be fully RNG or very difficult.

Honestly to me Monster Hunter World is a game I play with my friends, when the DLC then makes you fight 3 monsters without you being able to do these first 3 missions with your friends, but you have to do them in expedition mode (which is w/o lives so wouldn't even matter if you'd be able to co-op these since you have infinite lives) without this being stated at any point in my opinion is a huge dissapointment. This is not even considering the fact that the 3rd and 4th monster you encounter is a blatent reskin. This is a 40 euro dlc. I think you are allowed to expect more than a few reskins and a few new monsters.

At first when I started this game, my thoughts were something in the lines of, oh this looks somewhat childlike, lets see what it will turn out to be. The result was that instead of this easy game I first thought it to be, A hat in time is a game which pulled me in, having me enjoy every single minute of it. Although the base game is not all too challenging, the DLC makes well up for it. If you are thinking about buying this game I would say go for it, it is great!

A nice game, with many open options for gathering a lot of stuff. This is a game you can play when you want to gather and explore a lot.
