The art style is fantastic, the mechanics feel pretty smooth, the sound design is very nice, and the background lore seems pretty cool. However, I cannot personally recommend a game that pummels you to death a dozen times (or more--I didn't stick around to find out) within the first 20 minutes.

I beat the Warden on my first run.
I ran a single bear (because my mouse partner died very early) and had armor that gave me 3 shield points whenever I played a card as well as Toe to Toe which gives 6 armor when you hit an enemy in the opposing lane as well as the Bear passive upgrade that has you gain 5 additional shield points whenever you gain shield points.

After my first turn, I had 90 shield points on average.

Terraforming the planet was a blast; but the campaign's storyline is golden and really made the game complete for me. This game doesn't seem to offer much in the way of replayability aside from just starting over; but absolutely was an experiment I heavily enjoyed.

A very cool game to play if only one player enjoys strategy and the other enjoys more action/adventure! This game is an amazing way to draw together players who would normally have a hard time finding games they both enjoy. Highly recommend!
