I remembered my ancestors’ philosophy: Legalism—strict laws, harsh punishments, centralized rule, and the belief in human selfishness. But the real issue? My family and his have been feuding for centuries. Shangdhi, Legalism—fine. The takeaway: always bring a map offering so you don’t end up clashing with rival families in your trials.
