It's quite sad the devs abandoned this. I was looking forward to see the final result, I REALLY enjoyed it. Idk, don't get it if it's not on a huge sale.

Really good idle incremental, but is seriously lacking content - So I can't recommend it as of now. There's just not much to do honestly, a lot (if not most) of items have single use. Combat just doesn't make sense and is very imbalanced. I had to grind to 70 smithing and 55 crafting and 70 woodcutting to get a 75%+ hit chance on lvl 10-20 monsters. I don't find myself training combat as it's so innefficient to do so when you have a 50% chance to hit. Imagine having to grind your crafting and smithing and mining to 70+ just so you can have a 75% chance to hit a lvl 3 cow in runescape. Yep, this is basically combat in this game.

Update: Dev seems to respond to a lot of concerns about this game and I respect it. They already addressed the combat issues a little and I hope that they are working on addressing the other issues, mainly being lack of content and progression balancing. I can't not recommend now since I've put over a couple hundred hours in this, but I can see how plenty of people can get bored before even getting far in the game.

What a disappointment this game is. How is Vermintide 2 such a superior game? Better progression system, more game modes, way more classes, just overall way more content. I'm already bored at level 10 on my second class playthrough.

Sick game. You gotta love these devs for keeping it fresh with the updates. Movement is spot on, shooting is fun. A lot of variety with weapons, I'd like to see more gadgets and a couple more classes.

Honestly it's hard to pinpoint something wrong with the game, I don't even remember how much I paid for this and I can't be bothered to check right now. It's a great game, get it!

The latest update was cool but the game is still insanely grindy. I'm not sure if the devs are listening because this was a big issue and still is. You won't get more than a few hours of gameplay here, unless you really like mindless grinding. Also, the new mode has too many zombies right off the bat, and they respawn too quickly.

I can't get myself to play it any longer because I just spam cleaver, shurikens, and maybe a little tornado. There's one really strong character, one okay character, and the other two are trash. That's a big problem, even for EA.
So the next move is to nerf cleaver, but do they know that the most consistent way of winning is to play cleaver?
Why not buff some other skills instead?
Also, the skill tree is trash. You should be able to see what nodes you want, especially when they're ridiculously expensive (assuming this is like 25% of the full release tree).
I don't want to ♥♥♥♥ on this game too much since it's an early access, but every game nowadays seems like an early access so why not. I hope you fix all these major problems!

The annual pass brings nothing. It's just a scam.

No new content has been added, and that's what the pass promised to give you lol.

How is this game even still on steam?

Hard to recommend this game at normal price. Maybe pick this up if it was a couple of bucks because you can complete the whole game in just about 3-4 hours. There's just not enough content after you reach a certain point. And you'll get to a point where all you have to do is spray the cafe every 20 seconds. This should definitely be an early access game, kind of regret playing it because it's a waste of time but I did like the humor.

The game was really fun, and can still be sort of fun playing with some friends (sometimes). Unfortunately, the developers have gone insane. The game was more balanced during the beta than at its current state. For some reason, the latest patch brought nerfs to melee builds, and buffs to the mutations (special enemies in the game); and this was after over a month of complaints from the community about how hard and random the game is.

The weapon system is so broken right now, they decided to make snipers useless by taking out the stagger effect you have on mutations (mostly during the early part of a run, which is where things are usually difficult and everything is a bullet sponge). This also made shotguns useless, as well as melee weapons. Melee weapons used to be good because they can stagger specials pretty early during the run.

The difficulties are not balanced. Recruit is a cake walk, probably for people who don't play FPS at all. Veteran is basically the normal difficulty of the game, which even before the update more than 50% of people didn't even clear act 1. But it was also smooth sailing if you have a team of competent players. Nightmare on the other hand, is just not fun at all. You need a lot of RNG to get through some parts of the run, and I mean a LOT. It doesn't matter how skilled you are, you're not getting through it without any restarts because the game will make some levels impossible due to the combinations of corruptions cards (roguelike element the game uses to make runs seem different). This led to the community speedrunning nightmare difficulty which is unhealthy for a game where you're supposed to "clean" the ridden.

Spawns are completely messed up right now, and the devs are barely even acknowledging it. On their most recent devstream, they basically said that the community is exaggerating the spawn issue. Solid response from the team that brought the biggest failure of a game that is Evolve. For those who remember what happened back then, I'm literally seeing it happen all over again and you can easily see it with the way they're monetizing the game.

Game is already at a 15k peak player count and they are releasing bad updates and breaking the game even more, really sad.

Like most of the community, I'm shelving this game for now. Once the devs want to make b4b fun again, or I guess once it's not broken anymore, maybe I'll come back.

Good indie game, easy to beat if you pick the right combination of characters. That's a major problem, as more than half of characters are very useless. Just not enough variety at the moment, not sure if the devs quit on it or not yet but if they didn't; I hope they buff the other characters.
