I play Project Silverfish, Factorio, and SecondLife mostly. Right now one of them lets me spend time with loved ones and all of them let me forget what we've done to our species and planet (except Project Silverfish, that game is so political but it's not ass-blasted and you can shoot brownshirts so it works out). This list changes depending on current fixations and what the desktop can handle.

I used to play some other games but I've grown so jaded watching the videogames industry fester under late-stage capitalism that regardless of what I have in my library, I barely have any of it installed. Also, a lot of games make my computer spontaneously shut off. Honestly, I spend most of my free time nowadays listening to familiar videos and essays or stand-up, watching movies and videos with my partner in SecondLife, and rambling about worldbuilding concepts to a merry coterie of friends and co-authors. I'm also often doing research on paganism.


I don't like Steam's chat system any more than Windows 10 or most games I play do.
