A story that is never old and evokes emotional response in a player. Sophisticated storytelling that leaves you speechless. Elegant visuals with incredible detail that form an amazing world. Elaborate battle system that suits players of all skills. Not many games can call themselves art but Transistor definitely meets the criteria.

The game creates amazing contrast between the open space of the forested island, and dark, haunting enclosed caves. This gives the game a unique atmosphere. Even though the caves are swarming with grotesque creatures, the surface isn't absent of enemies either. Constant feeling of dread is present because nowhere is safe.

The option of co-op play is great for friends, and even strangers to join forces against the hostile environment.

Peaceful mode is a fine addition if you want to fully explore and immerse yourself in the world of The Forest. When constant enemy encounters get annoying, this mode provides an opportunity to really take in the amazing visuals.
