I’m so exhausted and honestly kind of scared right now. My 12-year-old has been obsessed with “jestergooning” for days. He won’t shut up about it. It’s the first thing he says when he wakes up, he mutters it while eating breakfast, and last night he was still going on about it at 11pm when he was supposed to be asleep. I tried asking him what it means but he just laughs and says “you wouldn’t get it, mom.”

I finally waited until he was in bed and googled it. That led me down a rabbit hole to all this weird stuff about “clavicular” and I’m even more lost and worried now. Is this some dangerous online trend? A meme I’m too old to understand? I don’t know if I should ground him, take his phone, or just wait it out.

Other parents, has anyone else’s kid been doing this? What do I do? I feel like I’m failing at this whole mom thing right now. Please tell me I’m not alone.
