I have read your review of IL-2 Tank Crew and in terms of realism I can highly recommend the "Panzer Elite Special Edition" at GOG. With the overhaul mod "Ostpak 2.0" the game gets a refresh of the engine + graphics, 2 extensions and bug fixes.

If your mod requires DawnGuard, go into Tes5edit and right click the name of your esp and click "Clean masters" it should remove it
