Refunded.

Wanted to really like this game and it had some nice features but when it came down to brass tacks, some systems severely need updated and some bugs fixed. Positives were the graphics and dialogue choice design. Some interesting mechanics.

Negatives were probably the linear world and the broken inventory system. You could have 3 bags of bullets with only 5 bullets in each bag because there is absolutely no combining inventory stacks, and the same applies to tools or meat, making it unrealistically difficult. This lead to my eventual refund was the lack of support on inventory and the fact the game hasn't been updated to fix such issues for at least 2 years.

Wow, blew me away. It feels more refined than 80% of the slop that comes out these days. I purchased it with the Fellow chapter update, and it plays and feels amazing. Even with a controller!

I'll add more to this as my hours go up, but as of right now - I recommend it not only to Runescape fans, but to any open world survivor fan (Conan, RS, Fable, ESO) and in many ways, it feels better than even modern day ESO.

Wow. Just.... wow. I don't know what to say about this but as a game - it was amazing for a narrative "Tales" type game. Without a doubt, the best of this genre I've ever played. All I have to say is - it's good enough for me to tell my wife to play it and she plays mostly COD. So that's saying something. Can't wait for the next.... season? Or chapter? Hopefully the next story won't take so long it's just Dispatch 2.

To make this short, might update later.
-The campaign isn't what you're going to look forward to; it's rather generic and in the end has the same big bad guy as any war shooter from BF/COD for the last 10 years.
-The multiplayer is a GD Blast though. It's action packed, chaotic, has grand scale with numerous types of tanks, jets, choppers, and jeeps. Totally worth buying at full price, easily, and that's coming from someone who's enjoyed aspects of Sandstorm, COD (not since MW3), some Arma, etc.

What could be better?
-There is only a fraction of the guns from BF2042; removing so many guns even as iconic as the M16.
-Hopefully they add more soldier cosmetics in the future including more genders for certain classes (optional).
-I'd love to see more primary games or lobbies that have bots on by default. For example, they removed the 128 player matches but could have made 64 player matches and the other 64 could be bots.
Finally - I'd love to see some optimization with controllers on PC. So many times will it be very difficult to navigate menus when gun crafting because the controller back button and navigation will be wonky. Another bug is the constant drag to the top left corner when viewing the tac-map.

Do you want to play a "Good" game? Well get the f back to looking. This is NOT a good game; this is a god dang glorious game. Even being nearly ten years old, it is still by far the best turn-based shoot-em-up game I've ever seen on the market. That's comparing Gears of War Tactics, and Aliens: Dark Descent. This is still an amazing game with nearly unlimited longevity. Would I recommend it if you're looking for another good game? No. Would I recommend it if you're looking for one of the best gahdang games ever made up there to rival the classic Total War legendaries? You're God dang right I would.

UPDATE: Still buggy, but after a few days everything was fixed. A solid game, but beware of bugs after big patches or sales? Some key notes: Still better gameplay than COD, and has great controller support.

Yeah naw.

The base gameplay is pretty good actually, with good team-play and shooting. The movement is solid and the ability to fully customize your soldier via their clothes from their boots to their hats is legendary. The maps are nice. Everything here is an upgrade compared to any of the last few COD games. There is no omni-movement, but then I'd love to see you lug on 80 pounds and then sprint at 15mph and do a quad triple summersalt flip in mid air and not break a rib.

As for the BAD. It is buggy, buggy as hell. Much buggier than Call of Duty or even Battlefield 2042. It's so buggy that in 48 hours I have NOT received rewards for rank ups, with just a friendly reminder "we're fk'd up but we'll update your stuff ASAP". Also, I purchased the Gold Edition, and none of it unlocked in-game; every single cosmetic is LOCKED. Still. After 2 days, verifying files, restarting the game/steam/and PC - nothing unlocked. Also, half my Twitch drop rewards are gone as well even though it's all perfectly ported over.

This game is amazing, on so many levels. The first game isn't required to play this but jeez it sure helps paint the picture on just how epic the world of Kingdom Come Deliverance really is. The gameplay is outstanding with oh so very little number of bugs. The story is about one of the most incapsulating stories I've ever seen in any game from the past 20 years. When I say that - I mean - I have to try as hard as I can to not finish the main story and for me to go and do side quests.

This game is HARD. Even when you're maxed level - save often. You could do 3 hours of stuff, then find a bandit on the side of the road wearing rags and you'll attack him. Little do you know, he has 3 fully armoured buddies in a bush and your 3 hours were completely wasted when you die in a few hits.
The graphics are beautiful, but the rain isn't the best quality.

As for some cons:
Seems like the more they update the game - it makes 2 more bugs, primarily. Mutt (your dog) is a butt head from poor AI. Armor and clothing items may look different, or the same - but some will have slightly different trim that does in fact have different stats even if they have the same exact name and price meaning.... It's good to keep an eye on small details even if you can't see them first glance.

Played for less than an hour. The main store page says it has controller support ("Full Controller Support for your Controller"), but it lies. This game has zero controller support once you leave the main menu.

An open galaxy phenomenon. It goes way past an open world, way past a living world, beyond a sandbox in almost all aspects short of a few things. It is a world class flying and space simulator with bustling markets and stations which - most of you can explore on foot now. It lets you be in any role you want, pledge to any faction, or even fight aliens.
Graphics - 6/10 slightly outdated
Sound - 10/10 listen to those engines
Story - debatable if there even is one?
Physics - 9/10 you can even blackout from g forces

Your galaxy your choices. It's not a dialogue based game but it's a role based game. There is a story and lore but it's not as obvious to find it. Part of the story comes back around to secret organizations (players still searching to this day), secret experiments, and aliens. What will hit you first in terms of story is the obvious power play which is your pledge to factions which helps shape the galaxy and known systems.

They have long supported this game and unlike Star Citizen, it's a fully released game with the promises they've made. Even adding more all the time. It's more realistic than No Mans Sky, although perhaps not as deep with species and discovery.

What this game could use more of? Better textures perhaps, businesses, income possibilities. They are adding colonization of star systems but it would be nice to be able to own your own shops for passive income. There are fleet carriers, but most players seem to avoid them because so many don't have what you need and when they do - they set theIr own prices whereas it's easier to travel somewhere for 2 minutes for 1/10th the price. Also, you often never know what a fleet carrier has for sale or purchase before visiting it.

Aside from that, I would absolutely recommend this labor of love.
