Managed to fix my save, the game is great but on shaky technical grounds. it doesnt run well, and its possible for your saves to become locked but the actual game inside these problems is very fun. great gunplay, decent level design, disturbing aesthetic choices and admittedly poor texture variety.

Original Review: I really wanted to recommend this game as it is pretty fantastic. the shooting is immensily satisfying, the level design is decent. I dont really care for the anime aesthetic & the gratuitous gore but its fun, very fun.

unfortunately my save is completely dead as hitting continue causes the game to crash. there have been multiple crashes through my playthrough but reaching the level 5 secret level just killed my game completely.

the optimization is non existent also, its UE4 and runs terribly considering the retro old school marathon esque look its going for. some levels ran at 120+ others would chug into the 40s and 50s, theres a chain gun that consistently destroyed my framerate and rapid drops are frequent throughout.

Extremely confident game design, better encounter design than most modern FPS titles.

Satisfying gunplay, oozes with atmosphere and well designed world with circular routing.

I just wish there were more of it, will deffo be following this dev with keen interest this is excellent.

Spiritual sequel to the Rayforce series, kinda.

Its the first shmup ive finally sat down and learned & beaten and i loved every minute of it.

I was enjoying it but have hit a game breaking bug.

currently unable to progress past "Ancient Sanctuary - Giant Bell Alley" without the game force closing.

no error message, just crash straight back to desktop, tried multiple attempts at fixing so until a patch can correct it gonna have to be a No.

Edit: Crashing seemingly caused by the sharpening fix mod : ClairObscurFix Mod
