I love FFX, its an amazing game and truly one of the best final fantasy games. This port however is absolute garbage. some cutscenes straight up don't play, in others character models consistently disappear. On top of all that it from time to time just dies out of nowhere.

An excellent remastering of the brilliant classic Mass Effect Series.

I feel I need to write in this review is the appalling job Atlus make of handling a homosexual character and a trans character. Such cringe inducing moments include one male character asking the gay character if "he's safe" sleeping in the same tent and the entire game misgendering the trans character as soon as they are revealed to be trans. I'm afraid I just can't recommend this game anymore. The second half of the game is just so full of classic antilgbt rhetoric, fat shaming, blatant sexualisation of literal school children it's just not something that I can endorse. I know its been out a while but it probably should've stayed in the past.

For a series that is all about people being different, personal growth and being your own self they really are ignorant when it comes to non cishet character. A shame as it makes a game with an otherwise compelling story more or less unplayable and I found myself rushing to the end just to finish it and be done.

Tedious, monotonous rubbish. Could've been so much more. There so much you could do with a political story about a country drugging it's population into subservience and revisionist history and instead its a confused mess. The procedural generation does it's best of make things look 50% out of place and 50% repetitive with only 4 distinct NPCs per area and shop fronts being generated facing outwards.

The built up areas are a confusing maze as everything looks exactly the same, be it a colourful mess or a more realistic grey mess. All this located on several islands completely devoid of life save for the occasional NPC and 12 copies of the exact same birch tree.

Combat should be avoided as it is costly, boring and tiresome. Consisting mostly of using sharpened sticks to whittle (get it) your enemies health before walking away to regain stamina rinse and repeat until the enemies are dead or you've booted up the console to killemall and get it over with. This is obviously designed to encourage you to play stealthy, however the only thing worse than combat is the stealth. You have a multitude of items available, all of the largely useless. You can dip into a bush if you need to hide, but it had better be the exact type of bush the game says you can use as cover. Blue bushes just don't camouflage as well as yellow y'know?

Reading up you can see that the initial disappointment of this game was that people expected a story driven game and got a survival crafter. They've added story elements to the game but it just does not mesh with the survival crafting stuff they've kept in. It's such a shame that all that potential was completely wasted.

I didn't pay full price but I would absolutely refund this if I could, instead I'm writing this review. If you pay £45 for this game you are utterly mad, if you really are curious, wait for at least a hefty discount north of at least 60%.

Really simple game of deception, but with plenty of room to strategise. Infinitely better if you have 9 mates to play with voice chat given that public lobbies are pretty awful and typing is the antithesis of the fast paced discuss/accuse gameplay that the game naturally encourages.

I played hours of Borderlands but try as I might I just couldn't get Borderlands 2 to click. There was something fundamentally different that I couldn't place or explain. However having recently picked it up on sale on the PC I'm happy to say it seems to have stuck. Perhaps it's the mods?

An old game but an excellent story. I played it on release on console and recently picked it up on steam to enjoy the story again. Only a few hours start to end but it's definitely worth it.

Can't recommend this game enough. A city builder on a n epic scale this is the true successor to SimsCity after EA imploded the entire franchise. It looks dauntingly expensive given it and all the dlc garner a £100+ price tag but I would highly recommend buying one of the bundles as I did and pick up extra dlc as you get into the game. A spectacular game that you can easily lose yourself in for hours. If you have any love for city builder games you absolutely need to play Cities: Skylines.

A very fun, albeit grindy, game of survival. I can't speak of the pvp as it's not my bag but it's a deeply fun an enjoyable game to play with friends, especially on a private server where you can mess with the settings so things don't take an aeon to happen.

The only major downsides are that for a game that costs £45 + 2x £30 DLC packs it still has a ton of bugs, including major graphical issues, Fish swimming above water, and AI pathing issues.

All said it's a very fun game and if you get into it, it'll consume hours of your life but maybe wait until it's on sale before pulling the trigger.

For all it's downsides, bugs, glitches etc no one can deny that Skyrim has been a dominate feature of gaming for the past 9 years. I picked up the special edition to replay through the main game again and play the DLC for the first time.

I've really enjoyed sinking 50 hours into it and I've been totally hooked, far more so that I previously was when the game was released in 2011. I can't say that the DLC is worth what it was originally sold at but compiled into the one bundle it's certainly good value.

As with all TES games, there's an extraordinary wealth of mods available so you can get so much more from the game even after you've finished the game.
