The UN/Nato now have their peace keepers and the serbs have the russian vdv as their peace keepers, that way we have an even peace.

The war continued until 1995 when NATO intervened. They bombed many serb positions and weakened us. The Croatians used this oppurtunity to drive out all serbs from krajina in what they called Operation storm. 250,000 serbs were driven out while the republika srpska armija, now in shambles, tried to protect their fleeing citizens.

Bombings happened in Bosnia too, but the bosnia serb army had a lot of SAM batteries to defend themselves with and were able to keep 50% of their lands. Soon after this the dajton accords were signed and a new "democracy" was formed. The serbs got 49% of bosnia, the muslims and croats the rest.

Anyway, 3000 serb villagers were killed by a muslim geurrial group under the command of "the vampire" as we called him. This angred the serb general Ratko Mladic who wasn't afraid of anything; he then invaded srebrencia and captured the male populace (since you don;t know who the geurrilas were) and killed them all.

There was ethnic cleansing on all sides. The croats did it to the serbs, serbs to croats, muslims to croats, croats to muslims. It is not okay to blame the serbs for everything when it comes to this respect. Here is an example: Serbian actions were always done impulsively and with revenge in mind. In srebrenica the UN danish forces sheilded muslim geurrillas in the city and allowed them to go to neighboring serb villages to ethnically cleanse the serb populace (NOT that they knew what was happening the UN had nothing (hopefully) to do with the fighting. Infact noone liked the UN's presence. We called them the smurfs because of their blue and white colors and they were thought of as a joke).

The serbs took a strangle hold in bosnia much as they had done in Croatia and quickly usurped 72% of Bosnia, the parts that they felt were either serb lands or of geopolitical importance. The muslim leader was Alija Izetbegović, a former SS Handzar officer employed by Nazi germany. He was also a radical islamist. The Muslims and croatians in bosnia eventually joined forces even though they fought against eachother for a year in 1992 so that they could defeat the much strnger Vojska Republika Srpska (Army of the Republic of Serbia) which was the bosnian serb entity.

Now in Bosnia. The serbs tried to keep people together but the muslim bosnians wouldn't negotiate. They wanted all of bosnia for themselves, neglecting the fact that the serbian population at the time outnumbered the muslim population. Karadzic (the serb leader) said some ominouse stuff one day, ""You want to take Bosnia and Herzegovina down the same highway to hell and suffering that Slovenia and Croatia are travelling. Do not think that you will not lead Bosnia and Herzegovina into hell, and do not think that you will not perhaps lead the Muslim people into annihilation, because the Muslims cannot defend themselves if there is war – How will you prevent everyone from being killed in Bosnia and Herzegovina?""

Then in 1990 Croatia tried to follow suit, but the war over this issue of secession was inevitable. The croatians started ethnically cleanising serb towns in Krajina (the province of croatia which had a mainly serbian populace) much as they had done with the Nazi SS back during WW2. The serbs responded by seceding from croatia to stay apart of Yugoslavia much like ho West virginia seceded from Virginia in the civil war to stay apart of the union. They formed Republika Srpska Krajina (Serb republic of Krajina). They were very successful and held their own against the fascist hordes untill 1995 (but I'll tell you what happened in 1995 later).

The war officially started in slovenia. It lasted 10 days and the slovenes were basically let to leave since their population was all ethnically clean slovenes. There were around 53 casualties on both sides and the Yugoslav army agreed to leave at that point to avoid more conflict.
